It wasn’t the worst season they’d ever had (that was his freshman year of high school when they’d not won a single game), but after making it to semi-state last year it was definitely a disappointment. They were unfocused, not properly practiced and overall? The other teams were just better. If Sam were completely honest, he wasn’t really sure Kitty could help his team. But, he had a soft spot for her still and he’d do a lot of things for just a little more time around her. As soon as the dismissal bell had rang, he’d made a quick coffee shop run, back before anyone would make it to the field. Anyone besides the blonde in question, it seemed. “I assumed your order was still a latte, extra whip?” he said in greeting, holding out the glass as he approached her.
