Somebody had pulled some interesting strings in the HA for this. Saitama didn’t know who had or why; probably some other A-class heroes... or... actually, yeah, that was the best he had. And he wasn’t sure why.
(It was because they felt he was a threat and that he’d be better off out of country for a while, courtesy of hero protection taxes. Saitama’s hero rating would therefore lower, as he’d have no register of activity. He might, then, end up at the ass-end of A-class or even back in B.)
He didn’t know any of this; he just knew he’d never been to the States before, and it was a bigass country that for some reason wasn’t up to its eyeballs in monster activity or crises or calamities posing a threat to the nation, or the world. Maybe Japan was just crazy.
Gotham was massive and dirty, riddled with filth and the dredges of humankind. Basically, it felt like home. The little apartment in Z-city was in the center of a less populous area, of course, but this place was no more or less dilapidated; all it possessed in its twisted steel palms to mark it as different from the ghost town was size and human activity.
In short, he wasn’t threatened, which would have been an unwise decision for anyone except Saitama. He was looking forward to it all -- doing a little sightseeing, maybe catching a glimpse of some American superhero. He’d left his suitcase in the hotel room which was to be his home for the next two weeks, and courtesy of some travel guides sent by the HA, he was at an American bank to turn his yen into dollars. The exchange rate looked pretty nice, although he really couldn’t be sure. 105 yen to the dollar? Was that good or bad?
Security sirens went off, but they didn’t interrupt his contemplation much. Japan didn’t even have big banks like this that weren’t simply corporate offices. Maybe wailing and flashing red lights were just things that happened every so often in American banks. It did not occur to him that someone might be causing the madness, infiltrating the building for its hidden money and wealth.
Some people were running. Others in the line in front of him were stuck to their places in panic, leaving the queue something of a mess. “Oi, oi.” His voice didn’t really register, with all the noise. He blinked. “What’s the big deal, huh?” Was there a monster somewhere? The damn thing was going to have to wait, because he’d been here twenty minutes already, standing behind other international visitors, and he wasn’t leaving until he had a fistful of American dollars.
- continuing the sexual innuendo.
Strolling down, Wade flung his legs over the edge of the building near to where she was watching down with purrfect precision. The amount of jokes he had and was now holding back was excruciatingly painful. But he dangled his legs, humming to himself and watching the people in their minuscule form walk around on the sidewalk. There were no loud bangs, no one screaming, everything almost looked normal, but that never lasts, that much he knew. "Please tell me you're not here because you want to jump. If that is the case, know that I'm an excellent motivational speaker and will help you with any and all problems."
If she was to jump, at least she'd be able to fall on all fours. Wade grinned once before leaning forward wondering how would it take him to heal if he was to fall down. “Don’t mind me. Just baskin’ in my own pawesomeness.” Jumping back up, he walked down the ledge, twisting and turning without any worry about what would happen if he was to slip. "What so you think who's gonna win, Superman or Batman? I personally Mr. Righteous and Mr. Parent Issues just fly away into the sunset together, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.

he craned his neck to look down the alleyway at the figure coming towards him. “hey!” he shouted as he walked towards them. “my alleyway, asshole, what ya doing down here?” as if his name was written on it...
