hello! i see there is a nullID on this blog for when one feel like one SHOULDN’T be dutch, but i feel like i SHOULD be dutch, and can’t find anything relating to this (might just not be looking hard enough, if this is already a thing, please let me know i don’t seem stupid..) so if it is okay, could one be made for when one feels they SHOULD be dutch? /nf
hi, sorry for the late reply, we wanted to make this flag turn out extra nice for our extra nice requester <3 so here is:
TransDutch
when you feel like you should be dutch when you aren't for whatever reason! this is a transID but can be used however one fits in good faith <3
flag meanings:
i wanted to make the transdutch flag i'd make to symbolize something more happy, more joyous, more wonderful, than our gloomy-colored nulldutch flag, since for us nulldutch represents our trauma and grief connection to being dutch.
the colors are based off the netherlands flag, but somewhat brighter because of our intent to make this more happy than nulldutch!
the shaded stripes being slightly different in shade from the main colors are meant to symbolize transID experiences, like if one doesn't feel entirely true to their transdutch identity yet because they haven't been able to transition to their desired intensity as much, or like how transIDs often fluctuate (due to dysphoria/euphoria, feeling more like 'you' one day and feeling less the next, etc), and any other experiences that fit this general theme!
the yellow stripe symbolizes dutch culture; the yellow-painted (horribly painful might i say, sobs) wooden clogs, the sun rising from the horizon near dutch windmills, cheese (and the gripes on how gouda [cheese] isn't pronounced "good-a" at all, i mean /silly) and other dutch exports and other common dutch consumable items, the tulips and how all the pictures of tulip fields by windmills are faked because tulips never reside this close to windmills at all especially not keukenhof-level tulip fields hehe which are nowhere close to popular windmill fields, the vanilla cream getting messy in the most amazing way while eating tompouce at king's day, and all the joy surrounding trans(ID) joy and being yourself <3
i hope you have a nice day, anon! see you (again)!
