Dunting might be the cause of the bottom crack. The floating blue ended up too thick on the inside of the pot and the outside had no glaze on it creating stress across the bottom. Also, large flat bottom may have created an extreme heat gradient across the piece due to the flat/thick bottom acting as a heat sink to the shelf
