I knooow and it’s so doubly funny because Puck can get his shit together and join the glee club along with Matt and Mike but Finn has to keep being like “bUt My PoPuLaRiTy” and like go try to slushy Kurt when everyone else has stopped?? Finn always had like 847 chances to screw up and people would still hail him as the leader. It just didn’t matter how many times he reset, how many times he had to relearn the same lessons. It drove me crazy. Finn Hudson is white male privilege lmao

Oh also remember when Sam came to McKinley and was like the coolest guy ever and was gonna sing with Kurt bc it was no big deal and he was just a genuinely good guy? And then Finn like tried to warn him of the unthinkable horrors of a gay guy having a one sided crush on him and tried to dissuade him from doing a duet with Kurt? 

Or how all the girls were like “We need to help Kurt” and all the boys were like “Hey Karofsky leave Kurt alone” and Finn was like “Aww I missed the fight :( I was still on the football field :( Sorry” But then he sings a song so it’s all dope! He’s a great leader!! 

Aalsdgjsdklgjsdk I have so much beef with Finn but I’m gonna stop here before this post ends up being like ten paragraphs long yikes. But yeah man. Not my fave.

hello there i just came to say im rewatching glee for a change and i forgot how much i love s1 kurt like i just love kurt but s1 kurt is so funny

Season one Kurt is amazing. Like we just got a ton of different good things from him. We got to see him being a cold little bitch sometimes lol. We got to see him warming up to people, and coming out. We got to see him be a football player, a Cheerio, and butch. And he got some hilarious one liners in there. 

Oh also! They weren’t forcing Hummelberry down our throats yet so he could fully dislike Rachel and it’s great :) Yeah s1 Kurt is amazing

PREACH anon. i do NOT understand why people actually wanted kurt and dave to be a thing or actually like blaine and dave together. like yes. we all understand he had a lot of internalized hatred and homophobia that led him to what he did. but he TERRORIZED kurt for years. kurt himself was on the verge of suicide before glee club. while it's okay to understand karofsky's development, his actions aren't fucking erased and kurt would have been in his damn right to refuse to help him

Anon: I really and truly do not care what anyone ships, but the Kurtofsky fans really pissed me off. First they absolved Karofsky of all responsibility for his actions. I understand that he had issues, but so are plenty of people who don't threaten to kill anyone. Internalized homophobia is not an excuse for violence. Furthermore, they refused to extend this leniency to Blaine. There's something really wrong with a person who thinks that a forced kiss is excusable, but cheaters are beyond redemption.

@kizuru I don’t even have anything to add man. I mean you pretty much said it all. And I’ll say it before but I’ll say it again bc Kurt didn’t owe Karofsky a gotdamn thing and he still went to the hospital to talk to him and help start to draw him out of that darkness and for that Kurt is a saint and also the best character on the show so :) 

And anon, that’s what I’m sayinggg. Like first of all, every character on this show has issues. The fandom just decides which issues are serious and which ones are a joke, and who they want to demonize and who they want to excuse. 

Again, you can count on one hand the characters that didn’t cheat on someone/help someone else cheat, and Blaine’s cheating had the most emotional weight and seriousness behind it. How many characters forced a kiss on someone after years of abusing them??? Just the one?? No but that’s the thing we’re gonna let slide, yeah, sure

I got into talking about how like people who hate Blaine and Klaine are racist bc they’re over here celebrating all the white gay boys for doing the bare minimum and someone was like “don’t paint all Blaine antis with the same brush bc calling us all racist is toxic” or whatever. And like. Okay so you don’t have to be racist to dislike Blaine. But the bigger picture within the fandom is usually letting characters like Rachel and Finn and Brittany get away with murder while also demonizing characters like Mercedes and Tina and yes, Blaine Anderson, for being a “”bitch”” or a cheater or “annoying”. It’s just. it’s very telling, is all I’m saying. And I said it and I’m done lmaoo

You know when else a girl should take out a restraining order on a guy??? When he takes a flight out to where you live for the soul purpose of beating up the guy you’re currently dating :) Also maybe not restraining order-worthy, but what about getting tipsy at a wedding and rambling about how you’re endgame when you’re currently broken up? Or dropping off the face of the earth for months just to show up at her apartment without notice? Idek where I’m getting these examples, they’re just random hypotheticals :)

hey since you're like the first person ever i can rant to abt glee without feeling annoying can i just tell you how strongly i feel about Come What May. like i was super mad watching the show (i binged it) that they hadn't sang anything from moulin rouge so far. then blaine and kurt broke up and i was SO UPSET. and i know this sounds like a lie but i shit you not i told a friend "if Kurt and Blaine don't sing come what may what's the fucking point" i really didn't think they would BUT THEY DID+

and i just idk if everyone feels the same about the song too but moulin rouge is my favorite movie ever come what may is my favorite song ever when santana said they said it was "more intimate than sex" i almost die because i swear that song literally taught me what love is and the fact that its about love being above anything and idk if u watched the movie but in one scene there's a variation where satine sings "come back to me and forgive everything" and i just. God Im dead

Ugh it’s real Moulin Rouge hours toniiiight. I do love that movie, it’s one of my favorite musicals, and Klaine did that song so much justice. I wish they’d found a way to work in that little bit of reprise though because imagine Blaine singing that to Kurt after what happened?? I might have literally died 

You know in s1 when Rachel says something about “I thought I made it clear that everything from West Side Story goes to me??” That’s how I felt about Klaine and Moulin Rouge. I mean I guess the girls could use Diamonds for their mash up song, but Ryder really tried to sing Your Song?? Sweetie no. 

Actually I would’ve been totally happy with the girls singing Lady Marmalade but still. Blaine should’ve sung Nature Boy. Kurt could’ve sung One Day I’ll Fly Away. Oh god, I read that they were originally going to use El Tango de Roxanne in an episode... And it would’ve been Brody and Rachel (in place of How to be a Heartbreaker) big yikes. I’m not having it. But also MR had so much potential and they only used like three songs in 6 seasons? Shame
