CHRISTMAS STARTER FOR KJ ( @captainxkj )
Ajita’s parents had adopted the celebration of Christmas, given a Hindi spin to it, and made it their own. There was traditional Indian food, decorations from Diwali back on the wall for the sake of reusing, and a steaming pot of tea on the stove.
Their mom always invited hordes of people to come eat something. The guests were always invited, and friends from town.
Ajita, for the first time ever, had invited KJ. Not only because he was their running mate, but because they knew he was alone for the holidays. They figured he could use the company.
“Welcome to the Tannu family special! It might be a bit confusing at first, my mom picked only the things about Christmas that she likes,” they said with a wink, taking KJ’s jacket. They were wearing their dress from Diwali, a beautiful pink and yellow sari.
