Breaking the Ice with Hilary Knight
a woman who’s been called “the de facto face” of the National Women’s Hockey League – Hilary Knight. As sneaker clad #TeamBandier scoots our way off the ice at the Aviator Sports center at Floyd Bennett Field, we realize that it’s not us, but Knight, who has instinctively started cleaning up the nets and pucks. As her powerful body effortlessly glides across the ice it becomes as clear as the early morning light pouring over the rink, that she’s so much more than just a world class athlete, she’s a role model and a hero; and not just for kids. We could all learn a thing a two from Hilary Knight.
