there’s this whole slew of things barry knows he should NOT say to a mutant, let alone say to a mutant as some kind of excuse for your messing up in what should be a fair sparring session... BUT!!
he definitely ends up saying at least some of it anyway, like a fool, like a buffoon, like a real OAF.

yeah keep on stepping on his neck, it’s cool, he kind of deserves that. doesn’t stop him from making a soft grunt when he gives in to the weight placed on his spine but uh, that might be coming from an entirely different place all together and there’s no need to get into that.
