5th Annual KKCCFFAwards!
Hey there, Eagles, Miyagi Dos, & Cobras! Award Season is upon us, but before we start rolling out all the fun stuff...we do need to address a few things. We know many of you have participated in the past years' award seasons, some from the very beginning. So, it may or might not have been a complete surprise to see how big last year's festivities got, as we've had to grow with the fandom boom since the move to Netflix. To be honest, we were only just able to pull it all off. We, the staff here at The KKCKFFA, love doing this and it's fun to give all our amazing writers out there the recognition they deserve, but when we're a more or less skeleton crew, it does take its toll. We've been having our meetings getting ready for this year, as we usually do, making and going over the new Eligibility List, seeing how categories fared the year before, whether new characters fared well enough to deserve their own category, seeing which ships need to move up or down in classifications, seeing to it that everyone has a fair shake at this. But when a fandom's creations grow to such numbers, and the staff more or less stays the same, the need to analyze new categories and such takes on a more critical and in-depth process. So, if you would like for these festivities to continue to grow and flourish, we're going to need your help. This is your chance to get in on the inside scoop and have a say in all the behind-the-scenes workings. We have meetings at least once every weekend during Award season to organize and if we need to make any kind of decision, it's put to a vote where every one's counted equally. Each new hand helps to lighten the load for everyone involved. We'll be posting new advertisements shortly with a new and updated survey. So, please drop us a line.
