Forehead and nose kisses Klance drabbles
I shared some of my headcanons on Twitter so decided to write a few short drabbles of them.
Klance forehead kisses/touches and nose kisses appear in so many of my stories as they are some of the most intimate moments you can share, yet are so sweet and simple in their sharing of space.
Just screams Klance to me, so I wrote the following. Enjoy!
Nose kisses
He leans in; gaps and distance fleeing as Keith brushes his nose oh so gently against Lance’s. From this angle he could count the freckles on Lance’s skin if his eyes were open; a scattering across the bridge of his nose, the tops of his cheeks. It’s summer now, they burst and multiply; new ones to memorise, claim in his mind. No spark or change of Lance should go unnoticed, without mention.
Lance giggles, eyes closing as Keith pulls back and he loves that. Loves that he invites trust, the automatic relaxation and flutter of happiness to leap free from his boyfriend uninhibited. He keeps his own eyes open this time and follows through with his movement until the freckles blurr and dance in his gaze.
He brushes his nose lightly on Lances again, a tiny touch, a bump that creates yet another giggle and gain’s a smile of Keith’s as it’s spoil of battle, a curl of warmth blooming straight from head to toe.
He adjusts slightly, moves upwards and lets a kiss linger of the tip of Lance’s nose, feather-light, a memory of affection, as if a piece of that warmth could travel from him and transfer over in these small moments shared.
Lance sighs into him. A gust of air, a surrender in joy. And Keith just continues to smile, bright in their own world.
Forehead kisses
It’s late, darkness thick and inky, minds fuzzed from changes in time and location. Lance grips Keith’s hand as they make it to the door, Keith stumbling as they move causing Lance to snort. He unlocks the door, Keith in one hand, key in the other and walks through.
Muscle memory ensures he locates the light, and Keith groans beside him at the sudden harshness, dropping Lance’s hand to rub at his own eyes, managing his best glare as he does.
Lance rolls his eyes in response, closes the door behind them before carefully pulling Keith to him. Keith comes willingly, snuggling into him, and Lance loves these moments; not the sweeping milestones but the quiet, unsung features that have him falling in love just as hard and fast as the first time.
He backs away slowly, leaning down and pressing a kiss to Keith’s forehead, lingering there for a moment.
“Come on sleepy, lets go to bed,” he says, and Keith just blinks in the wake of the kiss for a beat, then smiles, taking up Lance’s hand and following.
Forehead touch
Lance has to remember to breathe, to think and slow for a second. Keith is fire in his touch, emboldened charge and intoxication made human. They break the kiss with a sound part longing, part reluctance. It echoes, and Lance leans forward, Keith’s forehead against his as he almost gasps on inhalation.
It has been so long, too long since he’s been this close.
“I love you,” he manages, the words encompassing all his feeling best; from the ‘I missed waking up with you here’ to the ‘that move you pulled was so dangerous, don’t keep making me almost watch you die, I can’t take it.’
But Keith smiles, his own voice ragged as he replies.
“I love you too.”
And Lance smiles, heads still touching, that reassuring connection and expression. All is well, he’s here.
