Random headcanon that I just feel like getting out:
I’ve read a quite a few fics where Klavier and Apollo (well, this applies to more than them, but this is specifically about them so we’ll just use them) get married, and ofc in most of them they hyphenate their last names to either Gavin-Justice or Justice-Gavin, right?
I’m completely good with either of those, but I honestly can’t help but headcanon that Klavier would just take Apollo’s last name instead.
I mean- just think about it. After everything that has happened, would Klav really want to hang onto his last name? He doesn’t seem overly close to his parents, if they’re even a part of his life, so the only person in his family he’d stay connected to with that last name is Kristoph... and why the heck would he want to share any connections with Kris?
I just feel like if he got the chance, Klavier would absolutely change his last name to ‘Justice,’ not only to cut ties with Kris permanently, but also to just embrace the fact that he’s starting over. He’s moving on from his brother, not to mention his celebrity life, so going from Klavier Gavin to Klavier Justice would be such a staple in that journey... and of course he’d always have the last name of the man who helped him escape that downward spiral Kris started.
Is it a minor detail that I’ve definitely thought too much about? Yeah, probably, but shush, I will stand by Klavier Justice until I fall flat.
Just... a fic where they’re planning the wedding, and Apollo brings up last names, assuming they’ll hyphenate, and Klavier just has a moment where he goes “I... I want to take yours, schatz.” I’d legit just melt inside y’all don’t even know.
...also it allows for quite a few comedic opportunities
