I get irritated when people say "it's just the lighting" like??? What??? How does that make any sense? I've been underneath stage lights and my skin hasn't looked any lighter so what are you doing??? People are always tryna justify whitewashing like no.
Like of course lighting can play a role in how light someone’s gonna look on stage but not to the extent that they literally develop a blue/pink/purple undertone and all shadows disappear from their skin XD People always have a tendency to stretch the whole “lights” excuse way too far…like seriously, it plays a role but definitely not as much as you think.
