Mndsgn (@mndsgn) is a rising producer that grew up in New Jersey and is currently based in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Mndsgn is pronounced ‘mind design’, however his real name is actually Ringgo Ancheta. Before relocating to New Jersey, his family were members of the Aum Supreme Truth Cult, the organization responsible for the Tokyo Subway sarin gas attack of 1995. While he doesn’t discuss his family’s dark past much, his music is often incredibly reflective of it due to how much of it is tinged with an otherworldly sadness. Despite this sadness, his music often sounds magical and fun, thereby making the listener feel as if they are on a tripped out 8-bit journey through the cosmos. To keep his music up to his standards, Mndsgn stays extremely focused and aware. This has led him to being a regular at Low End Theory and being signed to the legendary Stones Throw Records. Mndsgn is also a member of the Klipmode Crew, which consists of him, Knxwledge, Devonwho, & Suzi Analogue. All in all, Mndsgn is an awesome artist that you should definitely keep on your radar.
