hello! Earlier you mentioned you use Evernote for your projects, I was wondering if you meant the free ver. or the paid one? I'm thinking about adding to my projects but not sure if it's worth it or not. Thanks :>
I have a Premium account. I bought a few things over the years that came with free Evernote Premium time coupons so my account's covered until mid-2014... I've never actually paid them except for when I bought a Premium subscription for a friend. XD;
The main perks of a Premium account (which is $5 a month or $45 a year so it's really not too bad):
more upload space per month; if you're mainly using Evernote for text and not audio/video/etc files, this shouldn't be a problem
offline notebooks; as it is if you're on a free account, you have to be connected to the internet to access your stuff—I think this is the main reason why people upgrade
collaboration; you can let other people edit your notes
note history; meaning Evernote saves previous versions of your notes so you can go back and look at older copies or drafts if you need to
I suggest maybe using the free version for a while to see if it suits your needs. Plenty of people never upgrade to Premium so it's still plenty useful on its own. o3o I've had Premium almost since I first started using Evernote, so I really don't remember what using a Free account was like. ^^;; Oh, Evernote updated recently with reminders and adding due dates to notes, which I think is pretty cool. Makes it very useful to use for projects and workflows.
Me, I use Evernote every day. Mine has 1,700+ notes in it now total. I often clip articles into it, recipes, some of my friends' blog entries/fanfiction... And I use it to store all my translation stuff or notes as I play visual novels or write my own. (my Diabolik Lovers notebook has just under 300 notes lmfao) It won't be useful for everyone or fit into everyone's workflow but I probably couldn't function without it. XD;
