Ja sorry ... ik kan er ook niets aan doen maar dit wordt een klotedolk genoemd. En dat heeft niets met 'klote' te maken... :) misschien kunnen we het dan maar beter nierdolk noemen.

So there’s a medieval type of dagger called the ballock dagger, or bollock dagger, or “klotendolk” in Dutch, and it’s basically a dagger that has two protrusions that look like honest-to-God testicles near the guard. Which is also where it gets its name. Because why not add insult to a mortal injury by adorning your dagger with larger balls than your opponent ever (presumably) had?
Imagine getting stabbed and looking down only to see this sticking out of your chest:
(Bollock daggers were in use between the 13th-18th centuries and mostly popular in Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Wales and Scotland. In the 19th century they were renamed “kidney daggers” because the Victorians have not stopped ruining things since 1837.)
