KNB 30 DAYS CHALLENGE (DAYS 6-10)

DAY 6 - Favorite Minor Character

:Hyuga Junpei

Captain!! Hyuga’s one of my favorite characters especially on Seirin. His attitude is great on the court and I love clutch time bcuz same. And I find it so nice to see him learn to control his emotions and anger more throughout the series while still playing to the best of his abilities.

My favorite thing about him though is definitely his leadership abilities and how he ties his team together. Seirin wouldn’t be the same without our captain!

(Though, I’m not sure if he’s counted as a “minor” character….😅)

DAY 7 - Favorite Opening

:Punky Funky Love

I love this song!!!! Honestly it’s really hard to pick between my top three: Punky Funky Love, Other Self, and Can Do It; But this song is just too catchy! Its the one I’ve listened to the most and yeah😁

DAY 8 - Favorite Ending

:Catal Rhythym

Catchy ending song. Thats it! Also, Takao being the one singing gives it bonus points - > -

I really like this endings visuals in the anime and how it shows Seirin’s starting lineup!

DAY 9 - Favorite Generation of Miracles

:Kise Ryota

My favorite in terms of general character/attitude is still Midorima, however overall, it’s Kise. My favorite thing about him is definitely his development. Since he appears all the way in the beginning and sticks around till the end of the series, we get to see a lot more of his general personality and how it changed due to their loss against Seirin.

I also love how he (alongside the rest of Kaijo) views Seirin as their rivals, making the semifinals of the WC such a fun game to watch since on my first viewing I literally didn’t know who to root for T^T..

The fact that he learned to trust his teammates and play with them as their ace is so sweet and it’s the reason Kaijo’s probably my second favorite team. His dynamics with his teammates as well as Kasamatsu is great on and off the court and I love it sm <3333

DAY 10 - Favorite Team

:Seirin

I could YAP so much about how much I love these boyss <333

But to keep it short, I just love everything about them; Their camaraderie, dynamics, and how they feel like such a tight knit friendgroup. They’re always there for each other and its all I love in a group of friends and especially with teammates.

And of course I love their starting 5 so much!! Riko as well, I just love them all T^T..

KNB 30 DAYS CHALLENGE (DAYS 1-5)

DAY 1 - Favorite Male Character

:Kiyoshi Teppei

UGH I hate to pick favorites cuz I love them all, but when it comes to their characters specifically, I already had my options down to two: Kise and Kiyoshi. And I picked Kiyoshi over Kise as I overall preferred his personality.

Anyways, I LOVE Kiyoshi so much🥹. I love the role he plays in Seirin’s team as well as his dynamics with the other members. With the underclassmen he’s an older mentor/brother figure, and with Hyuga, he’s brought down ti earth more, plus their banter is SO ENTERTAININGGGG

Of course my fave moments of him are in the Kirisaki Dai Ichi game. I HATED that match, but for the Seirin backstory and Kiyoshi and Hyuga development, I’ll cut it some slack.

DAY 2 - Favorite Female Character

:Aida Riko

AGAIN. Hate to pick favorites. I LOVE both her and Momoi to DEATH. But in some ways I do like her more… I think. Honestly, it really is a close call between her and Momoi and I love them both. My answer honestly depends on the day. T^T…

Anyways, about Riko herself, LOVE her. Queen always speaks her mind, and always puts her boys in place as she should. My favorite moments of her are her more emotional ones like crying after the Seirin vs. Seiho and Kirisaki games. It so sweet to see that the team really matters to her too as their coach and at that point she honestly feels like another teammate rather than their coach/manager. She’s great <333

DAY 3 - Least Favorite Male Character

:Hanamiya Makoto

Despite the fact that on the surface I may actually dislike Haizaki more, my least favorite is Hanamiya. It’s not just because of the fact that HE INJURED KIYOSHI (forever holding that against him even as someone who basically never holds grudges), but also because of his attitude and personality.

The only time I’ve seen a faker person is when I look in the mirror gosh. He’s also just frustrating in that he’s also very smart.

Love to see him get knocked down a peg tho. Mainly through Imayoshi and Kiyoshi just getting under his skin SO EASILY. It’s so funny to watch. I hate him ^u^

DAY 4 - Least Favorite Female Character

:Araki Masako

This day is interesting cuz its not like I dislike any of the girl characters; in fact, I like all of them, but if I had to pick, it’d be coach Araki, but mainly cuz:

Her lack of screentime I guess. We only ever get to see her briefly during the Yosen game, and she also only appears briefly in the light novels, appearing every once in a while, but at least Alex had a small chapter to shine with her and her students so I wish Araki had gotten something similar:

Maybe something talking about they days when she knew the other coaches and we got to see her relationship with them in more detail like with actual conversations. Just my thoughts. But I do still like her and her girlboss attitude <33

Day 5 - Your OTP

:Hyuga x Riko

My parents T^T Had a hard time choosing which of my KnB ships I would consider my “OTP” especially since I’m a multishipper and ship everything but they’re just SO CUTE🥹

I love their tiny moments across the series and how Hyuga really does want to show her his support. They great for each other and I love them sm🥹

Don’t worry Junpei, you’ll get there someday… Probably by confessing naked 😙

Day 16 - Favorite Member of Touoo

:Imayoshi Shoichi

Touoo Academy’s captain!! Ilhsm cuz he’a so entertaining to watch. I just KNOW I would hate this dude irl😭. His bad personality is the best and worst part about him and he slays. Bro sells the evil glasses guy motif. He’s just fun to watch, and his interactions with other characters like Aomine and Hanamiya are freakin’ awesome

Day 17 - Favorite Member of Yosen

:Himuro Tatsuya

Himuro!!! I prefer him a little bit more to Mukkun, mainly because of how his relationships with other characters are portrayed. I love the dynamic of him and Taiga especially in the light novel stories, and I appreciate that even after Himuro’s jealousy (?) took over him, we see him make ameds with both Taiga and Alex. I think he’s definitely gonna improve after that, so I wish we got to see more of him hooping specially since he’s very skilled, even getting Aomine’s attention.

Day 18 - Favorite Member of Rakuzan

:Akashi Seijuro

Sei-chan is my fave, mainly because for the rest of Rakuzan’s team I don’t really have opinions about them; negative or poritive soo… yeah. But anyways I do still really like Akashi, whether it be bokusei or oresei.

Day 19 - Favorite Friendship

:Midorima and Takao

Stupid idiots. Endlessly entertaining.

Their dynamic is so funny to watch it never gets old. Pair that up with them being really good teammates on the court as well like yesss.

Also they both totally piss off Miyaji so bonus points.

Day 20 - Favorite Ability

:Misdirection

It’s an ability I find very interesting considering the fact that it hinges on someone not being noticed by others, and them actively directing attention away from themselves, not to mention the stuff Kuroko’s does with the ability like the passes he makes are awesomeee.

KNB 30-DAYS CHALLENGE (DAYS 26-30)

Day 26 - Anime or Manga

:Anime

Okay, listen, I do think that obviously, the manga is better in terms of proper explanation and its more accurate to what the author intended, but I think for a sports show, its easier for me to digest the information and properly see what their doing when its animated.

Knb’s animation is also just very well drawn, especially for the later seasons.

Day 27 - Funniest Moment

:The NG SHUUs

Okay is this cheating? lol I couldn’t really think of any particular moments in the series that made laugh that hard. I do think the series can be comedic and that it has comedic moments, it’s just that none of those really stood out to me. I do find the NG Shuus really funny tho lol

Day 28 - Saddest Moment

:The 111:11 Scoreboard

If you ask me, basically the entirety of Teiko was just a roller coaster of emotions for me, but that moment in the national finals and Ogiwara and Kuroko’s reactions to it hit way too hard. Kuroko’s breakdown afterward didn’t help either. I cried so badd😭

Day 29 - Favorite Quote

: “The only one who can beat me, is me.”

I mean yeah, it’s iconic, it’s basically true, and it fits Aomine personality a lot, plus it just sounds cool. - > -

Day 30 - What you enjoy most about the anime/manga

:Themes and Characters

I really like the story’s way of portraying the Teiko team, their ups, downs, and the reason why Kuroko sought out a new team to be a part of, as he thought the way the GoM played was wrong.

I really like its moments when it really showcases the characters, not just the GoM and their feelings, but their teammates as well, it’s all just very heart warming.

KNB 30 DAYS CHALLENGE (DAYS 11-15)

Day 11 - Favorite Uncrowned King

:Kiyoshi Teppei

I mean, I’ve already yapped about how much I liked him in day 1 lol so… I don’t know what else to say lol. Maybe I should’ve checked the questions so there wouldn’t be repeats…

But yeah. Still love Kiyoshi to death. His airheadedness is so funny and my favorite thing about him fr. Not sure if I’m using the word right, but he gives me “himbo” energy..

Day 12 - Favorite Coach

:Aida Riko

*sigh*, Another repeat… (Maybe I should’ve put Momoi as my fave fem character instead lol) Anyways, when it comes to Riko’s abilities as a coach of course, she’s amazing. I love how smart she is and the amount of stuff she’s learned just by being a kid who always observed the stuff her dad does. I love how supportive she is of the team too, almost feeling like a member. Luv it

Day 13 - Favorite Member Of Seirin

:Kuroko Tetsuya

<3 Kuroko’s still one of my favorites of this show of course and I love him sm. I love how he supports Seirin as a shadow, and how even when all hope feels lost, he’s still the one who gives up last, no, he never gives up. He supports his light and his other teammates and I love that he, as a player who can’t play by himself, is the one that really brings together Seirin’s team play style as well. And I love his personality too, when it comes to his current and former teammates. He’ll acknowledge that he used to be Teiko’s sixth man, but now he is Seirin first year, Kuroko Tetsuya, and will be Japan’s number one alongside the rest of Seirin. <3

Day 14 - Favorite Member of Kaijo

:Kasamatsu Yukio

Yuki!!!!! Probably right next to Hyuga for my favorite captain. I love how he handles his team of misfits and especially his dynamic with Kise. He teaches him how to respect his elders and why they should be respected, while still respecting Kise’s growth and looking out for him and his mental growth (Like in Kasamatsu’s CD Drama). He’s repremanding, sure, but he cares for his teammates and means well and I love that for him! He always scolding Kise, but also knows when to just bring him back to earth instead of needlessly yelling. He’s cool and a great player, and his dynamics with the other captains, specifically Imayoshi, are great too! Wish we got to see more of how they interacted when in Strky.

Day 15 - Favorite Member of Shutoku

:Takao Kazunari

:3 I mean what’s not to love about him lmao. He’s great, especially with how he balances Midorima’s seriousness with his goofy personality. The way he laughs at everything Midorima does is so funny. He’s so cuteee
