Here we go again….. My pes anserine bursitis was only part of the problem. I have a medial posterior meniscal root tear (different knee than before), small impaction fracture of the medial tibial plateau, and a large Bakers Cyst with rupture or leakage into the posterior calf soft tissues. All this explains my pain/discomfort since January (possibly before)! I have a consultation at the Vail Summit Orthopedics with the same surgeon as two years ago this Monday, April 4!! I took this news pretty hard on Tuesday when I got the report, got myself together, and am in full surgery prep mode. For those of you who don’t already know, @pattisuggs fell and broke her kneecap last week and had surgery to repair it on Thursday. She is recovering at home now, but super sore and unable to move around much, so bored out of her mind. 36 cassette works no probs with a road link adapter. Why wait for shimano etc to bring out gear ratios that suit the every day climber when you can make your own today. Sure, most bikes rarely ever get ridden up any decent climbs but I believe that is due to improper gear selection by manufacturers vs purely a riders inability.
