"Mr. L/n, your husband has arrived." Your assistant said.
"Thank you, Shiro. You're free to go." You said as you were writing on the paperwork. Shiro went away, as Nanami walked in afterwards. You look up and smiled at Nanami. Putting the pen down and putting the paperwork aside. Standing up from your chair and ran towards Nanami, jumping in his arms. He caught you mid-air and held you close. Wrapping his arms around you and sighing. He put you down but still kept your arms around your waist.
"How's my baby boy been?" Nanami asked and kissed you cheek.
"Tired but you are here now.. Made me energized again." You said and sighed happily. Wrapping your arms around his neck.
"How much work do you have left?" He asked.
"Hum, probably a few papers left. But I gotta take a break, I'm going to smoke. Want to follow with?" You asked.
"Sure, let's go."
He took your hand and led you to outside, Shiro followed after as he gave you your cap before you two got outside. Walking into a valley to not get seen. You took your cigarette pack out from your pocket, taking out a cigarette after. Nanami took a lighter out and helped you light your cigarette. Putting the lighter back in his pocket after lighting it.
You gave a soft smile at him and took a smoke. Blowing it out to the side afterwards because you knew he didn't like to breathe it in since he coughed every time he accidentally breathed it in. With your free hand you ruffled your hair and kept on smoking. Nanami came closer and you quickly put down the cigarette.
"Yes?" You said.
"Want to go on a dinner date after?" He asked. His eyes meeting yours. You were surprised but it quickly turned into a warm smile, dropping the cigarette and hugging him.
"Let's go now instead, my assistant can send the papers to our house after." You said.
"Are you sure? I can wai-" Getting interrupted by you.
"I'm 100% sure. plus, it was been a long time since we've went on any type of dates. I've been busy, going on business trips, meeting, etc. You've been busy." You said and sighed.

Arriving at a fancy restaurant Nanami reserved last minute, the both of you were led to a VIP room by a waitress. Seems like he wanted to surprise you with a VIP room.
Nanami went to the chair and pulled it back a bit, waiting for you to come and take a sit. You smiled softly and walked up to him, giving him a kiss on the cheek before sitting down on the chair. He smiled back and went over to his chair, sitting down.
The waitress came back in with the menus, handing them to the both of you. You said a simple 'thank you' to them and took the menu, Nanami gave a nod instead and looked through the menu.
You weren't that hungry so you decided to order water, which concerned Nanami because he noticed you've been eating less and less. He has been visiting you every day, bringing you food but you always end up taking a bite or two and getting back to work. Anyhow, he ordered chicken noodle soup and whispered something to the waitress before she went away. You wondered what he whispered but ended up not thinking something of it.
Finally the food arrived and so did your water. But to your surprise they gave you food as well. Chicken curry with a small salad. You remember so well that you didn't ask for food.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry but I never asked for fo-" You got interrupted by Nanami.
"Baby boy, I ordered that." He said as he was eating. You turn your head to his direction and looked at him. "But I'm not-" Getting interrupted again.
"I know you aren't but have you noticed how less you have been eating these past few days? Soon, you will be skin and bones. I don't want that for your health-" He continued, "-and I know you wouldn't like that. Especially when you work hard ever since you were a teen."
Shit, you knew he was right but you, being stubborn still didn't eat. Nanami on the other hand was almost done and noticed you didn't eat. Sighing from irritation. "Come here. Now." He said and didn't even try to hide his irritation. That caught you off guard but you knew what to do. Standing up and walking over to him, head down. Not wanting to look at him. You looked like a pup that was in trouble. "Sit." Nanami said. Giving him a slight nod and sitting on his lap. He asked the waitress to bring the food to him and so they did before leaving completely.
Eyes swelling up, the corner of yours eyes filled up with tears. Thinking that you were in trouble. But you weren't, he was just irritated that you didn't look out for yourself and didn't eat. Even though, chicken curry was your favourite. "No need for tears, baby." Nanami said and wiped your tears with his thumbs. "You just gotta eat, eat at least the curry, okay?" He said. He was really caring towards you. He didn't like to see you cry.
Nodding to him and sniffled.

They went back home after both of them ate. You ended up eating the food because Nanami was the one feeding you and your stomach growled one too many times. Most people would think that’s weird but for you it was nice, him showing his affection while feeding you too.
You changed out of your work clothes and so did Nanami. Got changed into something cozy, his hoodie and your shorts. Nanami changed into a simple t-shirt and sweatpants.
Cuddling in the bed while listening to his heart beat. Making you drowsy and sleepy. His heart beat was like music in your ears. His arms around you to keep you warm and comfortable, his caresses on your back to make you safe, his cuddles that keep you protected.
Sleep well.
