At some point in writing Prophecies and War, the ceremonies got really tense.
#I'm sure the characters appreciate it#just a casual ceremony#that will forever change your life#things going wrong means you'll die#sure they don't go wrong often but look at the statistics#those aren't good statistics#this only happens once in your entire life#and only for some people#and it's super vague#and you're expected to just deal with it and act like it's completely normal#though#really#what is the definition of normal in this fic anymore#I'm not even sure#so many strange things have happened#in any case#guess what I just added to my Dictionary of Terms and Things to Know?#ceremonial knives#guess what they're used for#knife things
