I spent an absurd amount of money at the fabric shop, because I bought all sorts of cute fabric. WEEPS I ONLY WENT IN BECAUSE I WANTED WHITE FABRIC FOR MY SHEET GHOST COSTUME
I AM WEAK 2 CRAFTS
On the other hand I have this super cute stuff to make a skirt and bathing suit. CRIES MORe
Hnnngh I had to change so much of the face. I think this is the third time I've redone it. Don't get me wrong, it looks a heck of a lot better, but like, now I have to resize everything else and it's just taking me a lot longer than I had anticipated to finish this commission.
Every day I've worked on it, I think "Today I'll finish it." And just- nope. I think that being paid for something, makes my standard fly up so much higher than what I consider passable. This has been a learning experience. I am seriously going to have to reconsider how I budget my time for future commissions because so much work goes into these paintings that I can't keep redoing these things and missing my deadlines. (Even if they are self-imposed) One the upside, learning how to paint in one layer has been an incredible benefit and drawing hair has never been easier. I'd dare to say that I actually enjoy it now.
