yes, anyway— seeing as sexuality is sort of the last bastion of one's individual humanity and autonomy (which is why the controlling and sanctioning of it is sought after by those who want to exercise control over others, be it a family unit or an entire population of a continent), sexualizing something or at the very least taking such an angle can be viewed as a sort of personal reclaiming of it
now, knights, soldiers, the police, war heroes... they're essentially meant to be this symbol of justified systemic violence, which is why traditionally their role is glorified and revered in the way of making it desirable to those sought to be scammed recruited (mainly young men)
they're presented as capable, independent, heroic, all that. basically superhuman and something to look up to and the way I see it, this narrative is also being used to direct the collective sexual mental images that inevitably come to play because... humans, right?
people do insane shit to get some cookie let's put it that way. the cookie humanizes them, and to attain it, they're ready to dehumanize themselves for a little bit. to become a weapon of the state against dissidents, one of the king's many swords to maintain order based on a system of clauses and laws trying to make sense of itself.
to become the extension of the penis of whoever rules, just one of the endless swathes of their human-sized spermatozoa ready to be ejaculated upon the lands judged up for grab.
the codpiece is a cock cage and it's not the soldier fucking its wife when and if it finally makes its way back home, it's the state.
I forgot where I was going with this but basically, for me personally this ties intimately with my principle of non-violence. I view these tools and symbols of violence from an angle that'd probably make most any nationalist extremely uncomfortable/dismayed (that is, unless this is in fact right up their alley and they own it). because my sexual understanding defies the order of what's deemed 'natural' by them in terms of perceiving authority and that files one such like this as out of control
