The question of the... Miqo'te? Foreigner. Made Siegfried to turn slightly with a raised eyebrow. As far as he knew, Balmung's criteria on whether it would be a cursed demonic sword or a holy sword was something he never understood completely. After all, he expected Balmung to become demonic on the hands of his friend Hagen, who had been labelled as a traitor by history after fulfilling his grim request. But instead his beloved Kriemhild, who had commited an act of 'righteous vengeance' in his name was the one who was given the cursed demonic sword.

"That I do not know, Foreigner. I believe my 'copy' of Balmung is bound to be locked into a Holy Sword since it is my Noble Phantasm and main weapon. What, you don't believe yourself heroic enough to wield the sacred holy weapon Balmung? I believe even as a... Dark Knight? There won't be any harm."

The Dragon Knight takes the weapon's scabbard from his back and puts it in front of her. "I do believe practice is better than theory in cases like these. Here, wield it like you do with your own sword."

They had finally made it to a safe place, the Wandering Sea, but who knows how long that safety would last? These Lostbelts were already a concern in themselves, and they had fearsome enemies just waiting for an opportunity to crush them. Emma was listless, and anxious as all hell. Not even her dreams were a respite for her anxieties, as the things she was fearful of would come true in them, only for her to wake up and go through it again another night.

It’s gotten to the point where she would avoid sleep altogether. Drinking coffee, jabbing herself to stay awake, and more extreme measures were taken to make sure she didn’t have to experience those things. She couldn’t survive like this, but at this rate, her dreams would give her a heart attack.

Her hand was shaking violently as she tried to eat. She could barely hold her fork, and when she did, the food would shake off of it. The sleep deprivation was a nasty thing, but she never wanted to experience that death and despair in her dreams again.

It seems extreme measures would have to be taken to get her to doze off.

“you just seemed to be staring so earnestly into the distance. i suppose the view of the sky does warrant such awe though, doesn’t it?” he leans back against the railing, elbows propped on it. he’s fairly casual about the whole interaction, but he doesn’t miss the way her gaze zeroes in on his vision. it’s a split-second action, but he knows that know regular person in teyvat would care to notice the trinket. they’d be far more concerned with his mask. 

“i’m tartaglia, though everyone i know prefers to call me childe. and you are?” he smiles, friendly and warm. he was admittedly curious because of her weapon and attire—he’d been all around teyvat, and while there were some similarities, there was also something distinctly different about it. was she another traveler? how intriguing.

“Oh! Is that so? I’ll be glad to answer any and all questions you may have!”

She’s enthused to proffer up her knowledge of things to anyone willing to listen. “Though I’m not one to admit this easily there’s much I want to learn as well.” she adds.   Somnia was still not at her best not with her being splintered as she was but eight parts were still better than nothing. If anything it was a good thing she was not at full power when she was summoned, it’d be far too much strain on the Master of Chaldea.

“I can’t wait to meet the other Servants. Maybe I should introduce Chaldea to some of the activities found back home.  Frontline would be fun if not a bit harrowing with all the Noble Phantasms going off.” she mused.
