Things are different in Orlando today, as expected after the morning’s events. I am thankful that my loved ones are safe and sound today. That I didn’t have to go through my day worrying and wondering about the outcome of someone I am close to. But the reality is that plenty here have gone through this, and worse, today.
But to see something hit so close to home still affects everyone. Even those who didn’t lose someone today. To know that so many around me have been anxiously waiting for word from friends and family. That there are so many people who will never see their loved one again. That we will no doubt discover that many of these victims were students at my university. Waiting to find out if they sat in a class with me. If I ever ordered lunch from them where they worked. If they were ever on my daily shuttle ride to campus. If someone in my apartment complex is coming home to one less roommate tonight.
But this has also been a day of strength here. Seeing so many friends doing something about these events. Waiting for hours to give blood, donating time, money, and belongings, and of course sending up prayers. Blood banks and support efforts have had so many volunteers that they have to turn people away because they don’t know what to do with them all. So many people have been donating blood that the banks started only taking specific blood types. It has been so inspiring to see my city come together in unity and love, not allowing this to break us.
This is truly a tragic night in the city that I call home. And I don’t wish this violence and grief on anyone. You never expect that such a massive act of evil will occur within your own bubble. But it is good to see how the goodness and love in people rises up. To see that evil will not win.
Keep my beautiful city in your prayers. Pray for the victims, their families and friends, those healing from injuries, and everyone in Orlando trying to stay strong. Let’s show the world that we will not let evil triumph now, or ever.
Pray for Orlando

okay, since I've been meaning to say this....
one of these days I will make a Knights United roleplay Page with all the knight rider rpers urls and the chat url and stuff like that...
((one of these days may mean this weekend or it could mean three months from now))
These lyrics reminded me of Michael and Bonnie's paras together. They each do things to make the other smile.

Todays moment of Brilliance brought to you by KnightsUnited
I'm untangling how Bonnie feels about the other members of the series at this point in time... using the series for guidance.
Note: I am elaborating or adding what my muse is giving me... so don't flip if it doesn't seem perfect
AU Para ((Post Olive Garden and Reunion))
The semi's silver walls shuddered and rumbled to life at the roar of it's loud engine. Bonnie found herself in a tangled in a web of euphoric and chaotic emotions. On one hand she was ecstatic to have KITT back and to more than delighted to work on him again. On the other hand however, she was fuming. She wanted to strangle the idiot who hurt her prized car, She was fiercely protective of KITT.
The dark haired mechanic thoughtfully opened the sleek trans am's door and smoothly slid inside. It's systems were in desperate need of checking and some were in great need of repair. Taking a seat behind the airplane styled wheel of the vehicle, she called gently, "Kitt? KITT can you hear me?" She let her voice fade into the silence of the trailer with hopeful anticipation of a response.
Her fingers danced knowingly across the dashboard, where a variety of gears, gadgets, gizmos, buttons, and lights flickered on and off. Her eyes widened revealing two spheres of hazy blue-green that indirectly coordinated with the navy mechanic suit she wore.
