idk if I've ever posted about this but I am knitting doom :0
very much inspired by that one tumblr post, and also that I have too much spare yarn and no planned projects
my progress so far:
using a size 8 needle (5 mm), type of yarn? mystery, it showed up in my yarn stash one day and I never questioned it. it will probably very once I change my yarn lol
how far am I in terms of doom code?
not very far lol. this is fun
I'm thinking about Doom's future. About how this monstrosity will be transported and put away. So question for all of those who are watching this progress:
Should I:
Cut and restart when it's bed length to end up with multiple Doom blankets?
Knit the entire thing as one giant length, cut and sew after it's done?
doing this again, this time with a separate blog so I don't loose anything!
once again: using 2.25 mm needles and finger weight yarn! as for stitches, 0 is knit, 1 is purl.
There is an imminent snowstorm and we are cozied in on the couch. I with my Doom knit, she with her Switch, and Eowyn between, begging for chocolate chip cookies.

knitting doom update time
here is my current progress, it's looking very cool. I've hit a series of multiple 0's so its the same stitch which is nice on my brain but doesn't have a pattern lol
I don't think I ever explained what I translated the code to stitches to. what I'm doing is the 0's are knit stitches and the 1's are purl stitches.
how far am I in terms of code?
I have barely dented it, but I've taken to numbering the pages of code because my note app doesn't tell me what page I am on
Doom has gone on vacation! I keep forgetting to add warm colors in to balance out the cool colors, but in my defense I love blues, greens, and purples.
Ball 12, page 37. Mom is crocheting a bigger bag in preparation for Doom to outgrow the current bag. It now nearly covers my lap and feet.
it's been awhile!! I had to put off my doom project because I'm unexpectedly moving! I have a place to stay thankfully but since I've been busy I haven't worked on doom as much. still! here is my progress
the stitch markers I got have been great, it takes a lot of stress off of me while doing it and I can mindlessly knit 8 stitches at a time

I started a different doom knit. this one is using 2.25 mm needles and different yarn. I casted 128 stitches which is how much code there is per line in my document. I also flip the code from left to right to right to left.
why a different one? just cause. idk if I'll finish that one or even the first one. BUT I'd like to see how far I can go before I give up or the project is too big

hi!! sorry for not answering when I first got this and thank you for the interest!
I unfortunately had to finish off my first project early on only a few pages into the code due to stitching problems. I made a post on it (I cannot find it rn but it does exist lol) and have plans to restart it!
as soon as I finish with other projects I will restart Knitting Doom with 2.25 mm needles and a thinner yarn, and ofc make a post about it
