I happen to think vocal majors are pricks. All of them. Vocal majors. Fuck them.
They don't know what they're talking about. (Apply to any subject matter)

[B] These are people like what Cynthia Heimel was describing. These are people who got the things they thought it was in & it wasn't in the things!
There are at least 4 ways of responding to that..
First of all, C.S. Lewis speaks about some of that in his BBC Radio talk & his book: [25:50]
Excuse my compliments
I never claimed to be brainy as a college professor. I'm not one who considers must-see TV watching Jeopardy. Oh, no thank you to crossword puzzles. But I certainly don't consider myself a dummy. Yesterday while putting gas in the car my wife ran into the store and got us a couple of fountain drinks. As she returned and hopped into the car she handed my drink to me and said: "You wanted a medium?" I told her that's right I think that size matriculates into the cup holder better than the large size. She jumped in and said: I don't think matriculates the right word for what you were trying to say?" We went back and forth for a while. I explained even though she's taking doctoral courses she doesn't know everything. I expressed that she might peek in the Thesaurus. She in her smart-aleck tone mentioned perhaps a Dictionary would be a better choice. Sure for amateur wordsmiths. The wife reminded me of my creative word usage at the store a few days earlier. We ran into a female friend who was dressed very alluring for a night out I would guess. I mentioned how nice she looked and tossed out the phrase "Chicky-Chicky Bow Wow". It seems that was insensitive word usage in this day and age. (That's news to me.) Hey, at least I didn't say "Wow that dress matriculates your figure." I wonder how she would have handled that compliment? I got behind some yahoo in the mall parking lot and ended up following him for a couple of minutes. We surprisingly parked near each other. As this overly cautious gentleman exited his car I expressed how I never realized you could set a vehicle cruise control on 12mph. (He smiled which made me think he appreciated my car knowledge.) My wife said I was ridiculous. I did make that comment with a smile on my face and in my heart. I think words can be fun. I'm going to try and use matriculate whenever possible. Sure I'm not a college professor with a life full of fancy wine and escargot. I will admit, I occasionally like to pop open a bottled water from Mexico.
These stupid soul reapers who won’t ACTUALLY look into things.
Suspect all around
