KNOWING

It's a warm feeling, a feeling of safety. A feeling that no matter what happens, the mistakes you make, the regrets you have, the past you've lived, that you'll always have this endless sense of belonging somewhere. It's the moments when you catch him looking at you, with the defined creases in his cheeks that define his half cocked smile. The moments you can lay next to each other in total silence, but it says more than words ever could. The moments where you cry and instead of stepping back, he grabs you, pulls you closer and rubs your head until you stop. It's the days you wish work was over because you are writhing for the touch of him, the smell of him, his embrace. The days were you know, more than anything, you are so devoted to him, you would walk across nails just to feel his kiss one last time. It's moments like right now, sitting in a room, 20kms away, staring at a photo of him and all you can do is write everything you feel down, so one day he will see this and know how much you truly care for him. I have this feeling right now. Knowing. Knowing that I'll never let this feeling go, I'll never let him go. I'll never do anything to hurt him. I'll never do anything to lose him. I'll never look at another man the same. This feeling is LOVE.
