Knowledge Project Ideas
Ideas from the book:
Learn how to organize, clean, and maintain a home from your mother, grandmother, or another woman you admire. Then apply what you have learned in your home.
Prepare for a higher education and obtaining marketable skills by learning about college or trade school entrance requirements, scholarships, and tuition and other expenses. Apply for entrance when appropriate.
Read D&C 89. Consider what you can do to be more physically fit. Improve your health by developing and implementing a regular fitness program and learning to cook and eat food that is part of a healthful diet.
Learn about the proper care of clothing, including how to wash, iron, and make basic repairs and alterations. Apply the skills you learned by taking care of your clothing.
Working with your mother, grandmother, or another woman in your ward or branch, master a homemaking skill she teaches you.
Ideas from other sources:
Again, personalprogresshelper has like, five billion ideas.
Take a high school advanced placement course or a post-secondary college class. (x)
Make a scripture-of-the-day or word-of-the-day calendar. Have it spiral bound at a local office supply store. (x)
Make at least three of the Christmas gifts given away this year using a new skill. Girls could can jars of applesauce, make Christmas ornaments, or create pieces of jewelry. (x)
There are a lot listed here and here but they're not specific to knowledge, so if you find one you like, make sure it can apply.
For my Knowledge project last time, I increased my knowledge of video editing skills by making three short videos for our ward's roadshow. It was a bit stressful, but know I can say I can take 20 minutes of someone talking and condense it to two minutes of highlights.
This time I want to read through True to the Faith. If it takes less than ten hours to complete, then I will select multiple sections to read more in depth. I will look up all the scripture references as I read the book, as well as take notes. Increasing my understanding of the gospel is something I look forward to.
