                                A POLICE RAID IS WHAT MOST OF THEM FEAR, and yeah, Steve would have managed to escape easily, but he can't stand idly by while innocents get hurt. So he stayed and used his strength to hold the officers back and grab their batons right out of their fucking hands, but then too many policemen arrived, and Steve didn't want to hurt them. He and four others got arrested. That was five hours ago; Steve's still sitting on a hard bench in the police cell, carefully dabbing at his already healing split lip, when the door opens, and an elderly man spits: "Your wife is here to bail you out." Steve knows what the guy must think, considering just where Steve got arrested. And honestly? He feels his stomach drop out. He doesn't know how Peggy knows he's here, but if she knows that, she's also aware of the why. He gets up and slowly makes his way out of the cell and down the hallway to the front of the police station. He has no idea what to tell Peggy; what he fears most is to see the disgust on her face.

EDDIE AIN’T SHY; he’s embarrassed himself in ways that don’t even begin to touch that request. He’s on the way out the door to run down to the corner shop, and he just pitches a look over his shoulder and gives a loose kind’ve shrug as he searches through his various bike jackets for his keys. 

“ Yeah, just, like — text me the, uh, brand or whatever. Or a picture of the package. ” He gives a little crooked grin. “ I dunno what I’m looking for, so make it idiot-proof. ” More digging, and his brows furrow. “ Have you seen my keys? ”
