Nick got a gleam in his eye, shooed Courf out, and then closed it behind them. Miming locking his lips and throwing away the key, he marched out. "Hey Kat! Hello Jehan!" Kat and Jehan looked at each other upon seeing them again, and Kat fought to hide a smile. ~KN

Courf grinned agreeing to keep his secret safe. He followed the other out and smiled at Kat. "Hey guys hows things going with you?"

Jehan nodded and smiled a hello back to Nick. "So where... were you?"

"Technically Kat and I should use this, but I might forget to tell her about it," Nick said innocently, then turned and winked at Courf. After a pause of them just admiring it, Nick just murmured, "I've always wanted to find something like this. Like kids do in movies." *** Kat walked in further. "Hello? Nick? Courfeyrac?" ~KN

Courfyerac paused for a second, studying Nick's face to see how honest the others forgetfulness was... or wasn't. He didn't care too much if Nick had told Kat or not. They were in a secret room! There was no time to think about that. "How far in does it go?" Just then Courf heard Kat and froze.

Jehan looked around the room. He seemed more interested in the walls than in finding the two missing boys.

Grinning, Nick lead Courf further into the building, and ducked into a room with a portion of the wall cut out so you could see into the room they'd just come from. "Check this out," Nick said excitedly. He grabbed the edge of a panel on the wall and pulled. After a small struggle, it opened up, and he was able to open the top part. "Ta-da! Secret walk-in closest!" *** Kat peered into the building. There was the bookshelf, but no boys. "Hmm, I don't see them." ~KN

Courfeyrac’s eyes grew big as Nick lead him into the secret closet. It was quite impressive to the young man. Things like this always intrigued him and now here he was, in one. “This is really cool…” Courf said as he looked around.

"Oh…" Jehan said tilting his head. "Well that’s odd. I wonder where they went off to."

Nick nodded seriously. "I bet you're very good at moving bed frames." There was a small pause, then he grinned at Courf. "Sorry, bad joke." *** Kat nodded excitedly, trying to encourage Jehan to be as lively as he wanted. "Yeah, he is." She glanced towards the building. "I wonder how they're getting on." ~KN

Courf didn’t say anything for a minute after his joke. Then running a hand through his hair he said “Bad joke… or true assumption. Only way way to find out really.” He kept his eyes fixed on the bookshelf. Nick wasn’t easy. He wasn’t sure if he was playing hard to get or really just not interested in him.

Jehan squealed and tried not to jump. “I’m sure they’re getting along well. Courf is a very, very sociable guy. Shall we go see?”

Nick hummed thoughtfully, ever so slightly bumping Courf's hip as he did. "Well, Kat and I did hire some proper moving guys to help with the bookshelves in the future... I think our job is done." *** Kat placed a hand on Jehan's shoulder, collecting her breath. "I know you weren't implying. It's quite alright." The blush on his face made her feel a bit bad for laughing, though maybe it was just the topic. She grinned. "Well, Nick's single too, so we'll see where that goes." ~KN

Courfeyrac smiled as Nicks hip bumped back. “Oh is that so? Well that’s probably a good idea…” he gestured to the bookshelf, “as you can see I’m not very good at moving furniture.” He laughed. “I am good at moving some other things though…”

Jehan took in a long shaky breath as he was smiling too much to take a normal one. “Oh he is!?” he blurted out then slapped a hand over his mouth and cleared his throat. “I mean… Oh, is that so?”

"Oh, man," Nick wheezed, guiding the shelf through the door. They bumbled their way into the building, until Nick declared, "This is far enough." *** Kat's eyes grew wide, and she stood speechless for a moment. Then she giggled. She kept laughing, growing a bit louder with time, until she had to clap both hands over her mouth, trying to stay composed. "I'm sorry," she giggled, face gone red. She took a deep breath and paused. "I take it Courf's single?" She asked, before laughing hard again. ~KN

"You sure?" Courf said popping his head up. He quickly moved right next to Nick to ‘get a better look’. "I dunno…" He moved closer bumping their hips. "Maybe it needs to be back more or over…" he pointed behind Nick wrapping his arm around him. "there…"

Jehan’s eyes grew wide as the young women burst into laughter. “Uh… uh… I wasn’t implying anything! Ya’know if Nick isn’t… ya’know that’s okay…” He did a face palm and blushed like mad. “Yeah he’s single…”

At one point, Nick laughed so he had to put down his side of the bookshelf. "You're kidding!" he gasped. His laugh was bright and contagious. *** Kat shrugged. "Painting's just not my thing." When Jehan trailed off, she frowned. "Are you okay? Oh gosh, Nick didn't- he sometimes gets too close too soon for some people," she said apologetically. "He's a little touchy-feely." ~KN

"I mean it! Right out the door!" Courfeyrac repeated himself with a booming laugh.

"That’s okay, you’re still wonderful." Jehan said with a gentle smile. "Hmm? Oh no, no, no cheri really it’s nothing bad I promise! It’s actually…" He paused trying to fight back a smile, "Courf is really… interested in Nick… to put it nicely." The poor poet got caught in a fit of giggles.

Nick grinned, arching an eyebrow. "If it's gonna be funny and interesting, I've got all the time in the world." *** I'm completely useless with paint," Kat laughed, "so I probably shouldn't be teaching anyone." When he mentioned they could be offputting, she replied thoughtfully. "That's fine, no one's perfect, hmm? I'm glad we got friendly neighbors, and it's a bonus you're close to our age. Hopefully Nick doesn't scare you off," she joked. ~KN

Courfeyrac beamed, “Well there was this one time when…” He proceeded to tell the many stories of Bossuet tripping in every place imaginable.

"Oh sweetie don’t say that." Jehan placed a sympathetic hand on her shoulder. "I’m sure you’re just fine with it." Now it was Jehan’s time to blush. He cleared his throat and tried his best to hide the pink tint in his cheeks. "No no… Nick is fine… Courf… Courfeyrac seems to really get along with him…" He slowly faded out and turned away as he was remembering some of the things he’s heard Courf say about Nick when he thought no one was around.
