gladly answering because they are frankly rotting my brain i love them so much

- whole relationship is brought about after a spontaneous hookup of which leads to a highly inappropriate colleagues-with-benefits relationship [they love it]

- megatron sees it as a way of testing and subsequently rewarding knockout for his loyalty

- [tfp wise] post breakdown knockout enjoys having another mech’s attention & someone to look polished for

- ultimately they develop feelings for each other through megatron’s new favourite form of frustration relief

- both of them think it’s well-hidden but the rest of the decepticons are painfully aware that they’ve got something going on

- knockout takes a great sense of pride / satisfaction in having secured his place as megatron’s favourite

"Uh... Knockout?" A very familiar voice sounds from outside the red mech's office. It was an adult version of Smokescreen, but he was currently covered in energon frosting and mica dust was on his cheekplates making them shimmer a bit. "I overheard that this was where you were hiding." He takes a moment listening for movement of any kind. "I... have Amethyst Dust Tea and I brought Quartz Dust Cookies?"

Knockout was indeed in his office. He had just jerked himself awake by almost lasering his servo. Blinking a bit he turns towards the voice. Well that did sound good.

Sweet Primus that was not what he was expecting when he came out from his workshop area in his office. "....Those sound delightful but also What in the world happened to you? You look like you got assaulted at a glitter club! Hold on I have some towel around here some where....gonna need more than one."

He pauses in his search as he realized something. "....I wasn't hiding!"

There's a soft ping to one of the 'non emergency' lines. Usually it was mechs having questions but this time it was the old mech.

Kup waited patiently for the little yellow protable-com to ring, when he heard the click of it being picked up he muttered, "hey..doc This is kinda embarrassing. I'm outside my hab suite... I eh.. I can't get up"

Knockout picks up the com to answer it. The other medics were currently busy. "Hello-" Before he could say the greeting he realized the mech on the other end was not doing too well. "Okay, it's alright. This isn't anything to be embarrassed over. Can you tell me what happened?"
