The Org has received a Gift! Wow! Whatever could it be?

A bomb. It’s a gas bomb. As soon as it starts to leak, whoever breathes it in starts to feel… fuzzy. Then drunk, almost. It isn’t an unpleasant feeling; this is more to mess with them than kill them, clearly.

In a familiar handwriting are two words:

Merry Christmas.

A good bit of the staff are affected. It takes them an embarrassingly long time to even realize what's going on.

Dolion is unaffected, of course. They're not that incompetent. She's absolutely fuming. A video is sent to the ESC forums.

It's of Dolion and Yuzu, both sat in her office.

"We must kill that horrible Thorn."

"Understood, Boss. We've been working tirelessly to figure out who it is."

Dolion swirls a glass of wine. White, as she's been revealed to prefer. Her words are laced with poison as she speaks.

"You'd better. I'd hate to have to replace you, Yuzu. Your abilities make you perfectly suited to your position in a way no other could replicate."

Yuzu sighs, now gripping their own knees.

"...I understand, Boss. I'm sorry it's taken us so long."

Dolion takes a sip of her wine.

"Good. Now end that silly recording, we have more important matters to discuss."

The video ends with a final nod from Yuzu. The video has nothing attached to it. No caption, no traceable data, nothing.

You’re not stupid. I know that, as much as I hate to admit it. You’re stubborn, too. I doubt you would back down so easily. Especially since you don’t care about your subordinates — something like your previous loss most certainly wouldn’t stop you.

Okay, so, I know we aren’t on the best of terms, Snake, but honestly, at this point I think I should give you A name (not mine, obviously; although personally I think you should be able to figure it out). So let’s call me… hm… Thorn. For Thorn in your side :P (feel free to take that as a hint, by the way!).

Anyways; the point of this letter in specific. I know that I’ve been sort of threatening and passive aggressive but I am NOT with that other guy. I do not want to harm your pawns — again, I see no need in doing that.

I do apologize on behalf of the other for harming an innocent; do note that, if found, he will be brought to medbay and treated.

What defines humanity, Snake? You never did say.

What is it exactly that you’re trying to protect?

Because I could argue the same; I’m trying to protect the so-called “unfeeling monsters” (paraphrased, from what you and your uppers have said) (in case you don’t know what paraphrased means, I’m saying that I’m summing up what has been said before) from you.

So, what makes humans so worth protecting? A small difference in genes?

Because those “monsters” have been kinder to me than most humans. I wonder what that says about the “good” in them!

Oh, but don’t worry — my fight is not with the humans. I’m above hating a species because of the acts of a few. Something that would do you good to learn, I’m sure. If you want, I could give you some lessons? :)

A human is a higher being than a beast. They are seperate from all other species in that they are inherently divine. Where do you think human intelligence came from?

Inhumans are a product of sin. They take the form of a human, as a cruel form of trickery, and warp it in ways that are nothing short of demonic. Some are more subtle than others, and as such are more wicked.

We understand that many are born, unwilling, into that sin. That is why we attempt to redeem the monsters before we resort to neutralizing them. Those that do not accept our help... There is nothing more we can do for them. You cannot help someone with doesn't wish to be helped.

Threats mean nothing to me, especially when coming from someone who refuses to even give their name. I have been nothing but truthful with this stranger, and yet they have been unkind at every turn. Truly goes to show how juvenile and impolite the ESC is. I cannot wait to purge the world of you and your filthy organization.

What makes a monster, Snake?

Is it a lack of human blood? Being different from the normal?

Humans can be monsters, too. More so than nonhumans.

Humans can inflict pain on their own and on others. For being different.

Don’t act so high up, Snake. You can still be hurt. You are no divine. You are not untouchable.

You should keep looking over your shoulder, Snake. Who knows what will happen the moment you turn your back?

Careful who you say isn't divine, my dear. It may come back to bite you. Snakes are known for biting, are they not?

I suppose there's multiple offenders when it comes to hijacking my mail, now. Do you think you're smart? Do you think you can win? The Organization is powerful. Certainly more powerful than whatever pitiful attempt at a resistance you may be building.
