fingers dancing on beat against the his leg, koa is the most cliche image of a drummer he could possibly be whilst he waits for soren to finish up. he'd been hoping to go for drinks tonight to blow off some steam, it was just koa's style to have a round  ( or four )  after a long band practice. and, really, what are best friends for if they can't share an ice cold beer with you ?  after what felt like hours, but was probably only a few minutes in reality, koa huffs and finally stands up from where he’d been sitting since he finished up himself, grabbing his backpack and slinging it over his shoulder as he approaches soren.   " hey, i was just wondering if you think you'll be done sometime this year  —  or should i call nico and tell her to plan not to see me until 2025 ?  "
