Tysm for answering my previous request!! I love it!! If it's okay to submit another: post-time skip Koby confessing to reader
Koby has had a crush on reader for a while, but he's an officer and she's his subordinate and there are rules about fraternization... but when Koby joins SWORD, he's not beholden to those rules anymore.

The Marine base was alive with activity as you went about your duties, unaware of the pair of eyes that followed your every move. Captain Koby watched you from his office window, his expression unreadable to anyone who might notice, but inside, his heart raced.
For months, he'd wrestled with his feelings—feelings that were strictly forbidden by Marine regulations. As your commanding officer, any romantic involvement would be career suicide for both of you. So he kept his distance, maintained professionalism, and suffered in silence.
"Captain Koby," you said, standing at attention outside his door. "The reports from the last patrol are ready for your review."
"Thank you, Ensign," he replied, his voice carefully neutral. "Come in."
As you handed over the documents, your fingers brushed against his. The brief contact sent electricity through both of you, though neither dared acknowledge it.
That evening, Koby received a message that would change everything. An encrypted transmission from SWORD, the special operations division of the Marines. They wanted him. No longer would he be bound by the same strict regulations as a regular Marine officer.
The next morning, he called you into his office.
"I'm being transferred," he said without preamble. "To SWORD."
Your heart sank. "Oh. I see. When do you leave?"
"Two weeks," he replied, his gaze intense. "But that's not what I really needed to tell you." He stood and walked around his desk, closing the distance between you. "This changes everything between us. SWORD operates differently. We're not bound by the same fraternization rules."
You looked up at him, confused but hopeful. "What are you saying, Captain?"
"Koby," he corrected gently. "When we're in this room, just Koby." He reached out, his fingers barely grazing your arm. "I've watched you since you first arrived here. I've seen your dedication, your strength, your kindness. And I've fallen for you completely."
Your breath caught. "Koby, I..."
"I know it's against regulations," he continued, his voice dropping lower. "I've spent countless nights telling myself this was wrong, that I needed to maintain professional boundaries. But every time I see you smile, every time you laugh at something Helmeppo says, every time you look at me with those eyes... I forget all about regulations."
"Koby," you whispered again, this time with emotion. "I've felt it too. The way you look at me when you think I'm not paying attention. The extra time you spend training me. I thought I was imagining it."
"You weren't imagining anything," he said softly, his thumb now caressing your cheek. "I wanted to tell you for so long, but I couldn't risk your career. Or mine." He leaned closer, his voice barely above a whisper. "Now I don't have to choose between duty and my heart."
Before you could stop yourself, you closed the distance between you and pressed your lips to his. Koby responded immediately, pulling you flush against him as he deepened the kiss. Months of suppressed feelings poured into that moment.
When you finally parted, both breathless, Koby rested his forehead against yours. "I've dreamed of this," he whispered. "Of holding you like this."
"Me too," you admitted, your voice shaky. "Every night."
"Come with me," he said, his eyes searching yours. "SWORD could use someone with your skills. And I... I don't want to spend another day pretending I don't love you."
The decision was easy. "Yes," you said simply. "Whatever it takes."
Two weeks later, you reported for duty at SWORD headquarters. The atmosphere was different from the regular Marines—more relaxed, less rigid. And Koby was waiting for you, no longer your captain but your equal.
"Welcome to SWORD," he said with a smile that made your heart flutter. "Ready to break some rules with me?"
You grinned, taking his hand. "Absolutely."
That evening, as the sun set over the SWORD headquarters, Koby found you on the balcony overlooking the ocean.
"I still can't believe we're here," you said, leaning against the railing. "Together."
"I've waited so long for this," Koby said, coming up behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist. "For the freedom to hold you like this without worrying about regulations."
You turned in his embrace, facing him fully. "What happens now?"
"Now?" he smiled, brushing a strand of hair from your face. "Now we get to know each other properly. No ranks, no regulations, just us."
"I like the sound of that," you said, standing on tiptoe to press a soft kiss to his lips.
"Good," he murmured against your mouth. "Because I have a lot of lost time to make up for."
