"Carpathian Oil" by Ukrainian graphic artist Zenoviy Ketsalo
Love for the money, Mykola Popov, People's Artist of Ukraine, Original lithography.
In this lithography by People's Artist of Ukraine Mykola Popov, the themes of materialism and vanity are revealed through a satirical, caricatured depiction of a man radiating smugness and pride. A richly dressed man stands turned away from a weeping woman, who is dressed in a simple embroidered dress. The man condescendingly holds out a coin to the woman. At the bottom of the artwork is painted a figure of Cupid.
