Where and when: Somewhere in the woods during the Wolf Moon, around 8:30 pm

Losing track of time in the university library was not exactly difficult. While the Bodleian would ultimately always hold her heart, Liv’s workplace whenever she was researching rather than teaching could keep her entertained for hours. What was meant to be a short day ended in the evening, but she figured working late was not the worst thing to happen on the day the Wolf Moon would hold a lot of Astoria’s supernaturals captive. It had already peaked sometime in the early afternoon, she had overheard others say. Perhaps, the worst was already over.
Given how much time she had spent hunched over, Liv decided to walk home just as she had walked to work that day. It would take her another hour, but she was craving fresh air and movement. Quick on her feet, she trekked through the woods she needed to get through on her way home. It was not until she heard a tree branch snap near her that it dawned on her she might not be alone – and what happened next was a blur.
Her regular runs kept her fit, but not fit enough to outrun an angry wolf. Adrenaline thrumming in her veins, Liv ran for dear life, too dark to see where she was going, so she had to rely on her instincts to get her out of there. One wrong step and she tripped, her ankle caught under a tree root as she fell, scattered leaves and branches cutting through the fabric of her tights. Her surroundings rustled again, louder this time, danger fast approaching – and Liv scrambled to get up, but the bolt of pain that shot through her ankle made her cry out loud in agony, forcing her onto the ground once more.
