from what I've heard and seen, it's actually pretty good?

Yeah, based on the little bit of the beginning I played and stuff I’ve seen it does look pretty good/interesting, I really dug the vibe it was laying down, so I’m interested to see the rest of it for sure. I can always just emulate it but I like to own my PS2 rarities where possible lol.

Yeah, Lisa’s character kinda disappointed me honestly with how she was treated in the show. What sort of thing you feel like watching next?

I’ve been out of the anime scene for quite a while, so I don’t know really what new stuff to watch O: I’m not entirely up for a simple slice of life comedy, I’d want something more than that. And maybe not entirely action focused, so if action is in it, I wouldn’t want it center stage? I’m not in the mood for long ass fighting scenes haha. Honestly, if there’s been a few anime in the recent years that you enjoyed and is on Crunchyroll/Funimation/Hulu/whatever, then I’d be down for some suggestions.

oh man I had the exact same thoughts while watching that show. Good visuals but kind of a trainwreck

OH THANK GOD cuz now i’m reading reviews for it on ann and they’re like “PRACTICALLY PERFECT etc” and i’m like “DID I REALLY MISS SOMETHING????”

i just feel disappointed that their message was just to expose the fiasco child experiments that were performed on them, it’s like, that’s a valid reason but resorting to such prolonged acts of terrorism (and the big bomb at the end??) just seems excessive. i def feel like the child wronged by experiments was pulled off a lot better in like, for example, naoki urasawa’s monster.

and lisa’s character was kind of disappointing too, since she only fell into a “meddlesome girl who held them back” kind of role for a while, and even got captured like, twice?? i feel like she didn’t really go anywhere, except for kind of falling in love with twelve.

so yeah, it really was gorgeous to look at, i was REALLY impressed, and while the story was engaging to follow along with, it didn’t add up in a satisfying way.

and now i need another dumbass anime to watch. any recs?
