Yeah so Kohane6's trained looks a lot like the same setting from WL2 and it got me thinking a LOT. It ended up turning into a whole theory post ahaha.
All of this was said in my discord DMs with @thatoneweirdo14 and I cannot be bothered to rewrite it at the moment so. If the flow feels weird that's why lol.
do you think that the wl set and the koha6 set are set in the same universe. 4 friends who were close, drifted apart in school to do their own things, eventually reuniting to carve a new path in the world.....
ITS THE SAME CASTLE THING TOO
you can see it best in wl2 gacha title
but all of wl shows it well
akito and toya both also have the town in the background
whereas miku seems to be somewhere else (i doubt its the town itself)
^ implying that she probably came after their departure from the school (also since wl2 had no vs)
kohane also looks a lot like miku, which i think is interesting. seriously. i keep getting DUPED. but the idea that she's grown into a sort of position that miku once carried for them is a very interesting implication + if you go off of the theory that wl2 is a sort of "before", it's interesting how both toya and kohane grew their hair out---especially toya, who we can probably surmise left the school first. kohane was probably actually the last to leave (she's outside but she's on a balcony high up, so it can be argued that an would leave next) if at all
kohane and akito are the only ones with visible staves; we know 2stars CAN get props like that (Mafuyu's Hermit card is the best example, but it can be seen as far back as Rui1, more recently like Mino5, and even last event, Airi6) so the fact that An doesn't have that is proof. Toya might have it but it's unlikely
If you go off of this assumption, it might be plausible that Kohane and Akito (who stayed at the school) received their staves, whereas An and Toya (who left) did not. Miku, who never attended in the first place, back this idea up.
[circling back to the idea that Kohane appears a lot like Miku in this set] In this shot of the 2DMV, Kohane looks a LOT like Miku to me.
2DMV also further implicates the idea of magic being a very interesting force in this universe (which, I would say, working in a very different way to the WD AUs) [rip Kohane who's too blurry thanks to the logo, but it's implied its in her hands]
Toya's shots specifically remind me a LOT of a martial artist, from how he holds himself to his specific posing
So it wouldn't be crazy to think that Toya went down a path of a martial artist [after he left the school]
[14, quoting the images from the implications of how magic is controlled in this universe] "Interesting that akito in particular doesnt seem to be directly controlling his spark"
Kohane and Akito both appear to be mages of some sort (given by their staves) but it's possible that Akito may specialize in a sort of physical-style magic (a combination of his personality and how Kohane appears to be more of a commander)
[Me, quoting 14's comment] ACTUALLY YEAH. I DIDNT NOTICE THAT
it's possible that Akito never learned to "properly" control his magic, which this can reflect his own arc in a sense; I think back to specifically Akito4, where Ken says that basically, the way Akito has been pushing himself to overcome obstacles has worked until now, but he needed to learn another way to be able to surpass RAD WEEKEND. The idea that Akito is a mage similar to Kohane but has always brute-forced his magic is really interesting, especially if you add in that probably he needed to learn how to surpass his own limits---doing something few people can do, turning his magic into a physical style. Akito is also the only one who doesn't have a good shot of the dawn in his trained; it's implied that he's facing it but Kohane is too and hers is much brighter. It could be that Akito has taken up a sort of "dirty-work job" to protect them?
Miku reminds me a lot of a dancer, which would be an interesting party member but for fantasy games it's not unfounded. Fire Emblem Awakening has a Dancer class, and I think another fantasy turn-based RPG (like FE) has a Dancer class too. The idea that Miku is their mentor but is also a dancer of all things is both a) hilarious and b) absolutely something a VBS AU would do; [honestly,] If anything, Miku looks like an ordinary village maiden
[quoting Akito not having a good shot of the dawn in his card] I bring this up because the gacha title is "Shining Dawn" so the dawn is an important part of this. Dawn often symbolizes a sort of new beginning, which reflects VBS officially picking up their dream of "taking over the world" (they finally figured out what that meant LOL).
