Kastle headcanon: slow burn

ok but picture Karen softly kissing all of the scars and bruises on Frank’s body during their first time. 

she would start with his face and slowly move down his chest. Frank’s eyes would be closed whole time because he’s just soaking in her light. when his eyes open, they are filled with awe and reverence. he relishes these rare moments of peace with karen - the touchstones to his humanity

then he hoists her up so she can wrap her legs around his waist. he carries her across the room like she weighs nothing and backs them up against the wall. and Karen’s laughing because she cant believe he pulled that move. but then he presses his body against her’s and her breath hitches. her reaction doesn’t go unnoticed and Frank gives a little smirk and then proceeds to kiss her senseless. he pins her arms above their heads but he lets go after a while because he knows that she wants to touch him - and she does. still held up by Frank, her hands immediately fall down to caress his hair and neck, alternating between a ravaging caress and a desperate clutch, but never breaking the kiss.

bonus: at some point, Karen accidentally presses on one of Frank’s fresher wounds on his back and he winces a little. he’s still holding her up against the wall and she gets all concerned and asks if he is okay. and he just stands there bewildered for a moment because no one has ever asked him that in a long time. Karen’s heart melts a little because he looks like a lost, befuddled puppy and she brings him back to her by lightly nibbling on his jawline.

I’ve always imagined their relationship to be this slow burn and gradual build up of passion. like this weird and perfect balance of gentleness and intensity.
