My first zora OC, Kohva
He’s from a zora colony known as the Northern Territory, founded sometime before the Calamity returned. His father, Nivek, was appointed Governor of the Territory, and was killed during the aftermath of the Champions’ failure. His mother had been lost sometime before, leaving his uncle in charge of the Territory by default until King Dorephan could appoint a new Governor.
A new leader was never officially appointed, and Kohva’s uncle remained Governor of the Northern Territory- a position that Dorephan and Nivek had intended to become at least in part hereditary. This would mean that Kohva, by all rights, was the rightful leader of the Territory, but his youth gave his uncle the perfect excuse to continue his reign.
Now old enough to claim his birthright, Kohva has grown into a serious and at times stern zora, molded into a reserved and quiet man by his uncle’s military style grip on the Territory and its citizens. Tensions are rising between the Territory and the Domain, stirred by the Governor’s anti-royal rhetoric, and the Governor’s choice in “allies” to help block the Territory borders from the Domain- river zora, who are just as much for keeping Territory citizens in as Domain visitors out- has left Kohva with some hard decisions to make about the future of his home and his people.
