Eklipz - Just Do It
This is a song meant to Motivate and Energize those who have been through struggle and understand what it is to have things occur in your life that take the wind out of your sails. It is a song that serves to activate the Reality that even in hardships we have no choice but to keep on Striving and to keep on Pushing on with our goals and aspirations.
Sugar Water (Lyrics and Artwork)
Sugar water, fried flour
The day baking soda replaced baby powder
Cocoa butter, candy gum, dum-dum shells
Straight line from gunshots to church bells
Aw hell they say we all going any-who
So give me two girls, two blunts, two Guinness too
Late grind, slow motion’s what niggas do
Unless they get a little bligh so they can pick and choose
Royal lineage, slave culture
The pig foot, cow tongue, rib and back ultra
Super sized, extra large, MSG yes
With the barbeque sauce and the hot peppers picked fresh
That’s why my guns don’t confess
I keep my own council, picky how I congress
Refuse to live life like it’s some contest
Or miss out on happiness, chasing some conquest
Peanut-butter and banana clips
From God’s army to the navy to abandoned ships
Lonely gangsters, lost bloods, stranded crips
Who held the flag to the standard dipped
Confused cops left to wonder if they stand for shit
So when they riot firemen better stand equipped
Sure there’s ire when world leaders play the violin
While this infernal inferno splay higher and
Guess our needs can’t trump their desires and
Rich get richer and killers keep firing
But what about you and I
Shit I guess for us it’s just do and die
That or praying to some god in the sky
Or fire in the bush, or gleam in the eye
Or maybe faith is greater than the troubles I described
And it all works out by and by
I’m saying
Peas and rice, codfish and potato
The homemade silencer served alfredo
It’s much hyped like the ass on J-Lo
Somehow we muddle through either way though

Sugar Water
So this is not your typical second single, but those who heard it were SO passionate about it that I decided to follow the emotion and let it off. This was another team effort to the fullest. Kolor Brown was still making the beat when I came into the studio but I fell in love with it right away and by the time he'd finished so had I. Then Eklipz came and knocked it out the park with a video that's just bananas.
Mr. Lucky
My first single! This song is actually a remix that all started when I had the day off and was chilling at Spott Music Studios with Kolor Brown. Shout out to Toronto's own Rich Kidd and Big Soxx (Saukrates) for the production, Kolor Brown for producing the original track and vocals and Robbie J for directing the video. My man Eklipz also helped with the camera work. The homey Foot absolutely KILLS the role as Mr. Lucky. DTS, Xavier and their boy hold it down as the 'haters'. Special mention to Big City Drew, J Logix, Mitzy Blair and the wonderful actress who played Mrs. Lucky. Team work baby!
