The newly crowned King of the Riddermark made it almost an entire day out sailing with Imrahil's children without notable incident--until, upon arriving back at the docks of Dol Amroth, he finds himself slipping off the dock and into a fisherman's catch (years later he'd still not be convinced it wasn't Amrothos who pushed him). Despite his embarrassment over the blunder, it wasn't ALL for naught, for it prompted the usually stoic Princess Lothíriel to attempt a heroic rescue, and her boisterous laughter at the seaweed caught in his beard was enough for Éomer to forgive the situation :)

SO a while back,, (back in MAY 2024), I asked (I think) for Eothirial themed sketch requests. @konartiste requested: "Lothíriel is laughing at Éomer making a fool of himself."

Ahhhh Thank you for sending in this prompt I really enjoyed sketching this and coming up with a lil story for the request :D Hoping to finish up the rest of the sketch prompts/requests sitting in my askbox over the next few months :>

Now you and I both know that Éomer and Lothíriel totally adore each other...

But what is one thing of her that irritates him, and vice versa? :D

What irritates Éomer about Lothíriel: she always has to have the last word, even when she's in the wrong. Arguments with her can be truly maddening. :') Verbally, she's gifted enough to twist any quarrel to her advantage and it can be very frustrating, especially for Éomer who prefers to take challenges head on. How dare she be just as stubborn as him! :D

What irritates Lothíriel about Éomer: he's not as fastidious about his person she is about herself. Lothíriel would never make a formal appearance without putting some effort in how she's dressed, but Éomer can sometimes appear in shirtsleeves before his subjects. He may come in wearing muddy boots and leave footprints in places she'd rather not have them, or he's got horse hair and hay and other such things over his tunic, and then he comes and sweeps her in a kiss, getting all that stuff over her too and maybe upsetting her hair (although this one she doesn't mind that much, because he's a good kisser and it's worth having to fix her appearance afterwards).

Received the mark sheets for my kids today.

I keep having to remind myself that - though they are a lot like me - they are not me.

Primary school was a cakewalk for me. It's not the case for them. They have high grades, yes, but they have their weaknesses. One is a dreamer which causes for her to lose focus and miss on instruction. The other needs more processing time with numbers.

Now don't get me wrong, they have the euro equivalent of A's and B's, but there are one or two D's that I am not happy about.

It is is very clear that if I don't make them do revision work at home, it will bad for them.

And I blame myself because I don't have the time or the mental capacity to sit with them after school.

And also, they don't want to, so it would be yet another struggle.

And no one else can do it for me, either.

So I am not feeling well at all, and I am trying not to take it out on the kids.

Even worse is, I have some family members who question me every time about their progress. And they expect me to say "they have 10/10 and 100%" on everything. So when I say, "they are doing wonderful, they have improved compared to the last semester, but there is a subject that requires some additional support."....

They act scandalized! Like it's the worst thing in the world that they are not straight A students.

For fuck's sake. Just because I used to be one, doesn't mean they are! My husband was a B/C student, but in real life he is more successful than I am. Why should I be made to feel bad about my kids?

I come from a mixed Asian background, born in Europe, but I cannot seem to escape that mentality.
