“Arata-kun?” The voice rings off around the hacker’s head. From his periphery, he might see the slightest movement, the flash of bright colors, from the halo of the digivice within his hood.
“Where are we going? Where are you taking me?”
"I need to test out something. Now shut up, I don't want people to think I'm talking to myself"
How did he end up with a sort of program with human form installed in his digivice? Well, let's say next time something dangerous picks his curiosity, he'd think twice before searching for it. It all started this morning, when an anonymous user published a strange post in a hacker forum he used to visit once in a while, saying there was something awesome in the depths of one of Kamishiro's most secure servers. Arata loved challenges. And what seemed like a crazy jail sentence for any common hacker, should be a nice practice for him. Just to keep his skills in shape.
Even so, it was easier than he thought. Breaking through security and trespassing the area didn't take that much time or effort. What he found there after downloading the files left him shocked, though. It was a guy. A redheaded boy with large and round blue eyes. He was shorter, and appeared to be a few years younger than Arata. It was so confusing that he didn't remember what happened then, exactly. The hacker gave his name, and received the stranger's. Takumi. It was a surprisingly normal name for someone, or something so abnormal. After burning his brain for a while trying to understand what was going on, Arata concluded there were two major possibilities. Takumi was someone's EDEN avatar that Kamishiro kept there for some reason, or he was part of some dark project. Maybe both.
Anyway, it wasn't safe to remain in the server and wait for the guards to appear and find them, so Arata stole "Takumi" or whatever he was, putting all the data in his digivice and left the place, making sure to delete or conceal his traces. And now he was walking through EDEN's public area, trying not to look shady or suspicious, while having a person talking from a screen within his hood. Nope, things couldn't get weirder if they tried.
