A genuine question for you Anon: how did they try to create the sexy fuck boy image? Was that via ‘Seven Days a Week’ or the album Golden in general? Or specifically the VFX disaster that was the Standing Next To You MV?
Seven or whatever that song is called was a legit banger (and I mean the explicit version). Beyond the lyrics of that conjuring up fantasies with the young and impressionable of what sort of ecstasy sex every day might be (lol), I think the fuck boy image is something more fan-generated than coming from Kookie or the label. You used to be able to go on Twitter and there would be gossip accounts recounting how Kookie was having arguments in the street with his flavour of the week, but somehow hung up on the same girl or juggling XYZ. That has never really stopped, and now ‘interested parties’ have AI tools at their disposals to create grainy images just blurry enough to waste a lot of people’s time.
If we were to go way way back to before Hybe and the illustrious ‘too big to fail’ era of BTS and chart top slop, you would find a much different rhetoric about Kookie simmering behind the scenes, especially when it comes to an ex-fansite who had very different things to say about him and what his supposed issues are. So all I’m going to say is this: gossip is often in the eye of the beholder, and we tend to hear what we want to hear, see what we want to see, and this fuck boy image is part of that. Many people do not see that, especially some of us with a lot of experience with fuck boys.
