Ok so I made a handfull of posts (I'll link all below) on several koopa characters that are never addressed again ever, I decided to just do stuff with them
note: all my designs and ideas here are mostly spitballing, if you have a fun idea, feel free to tell me
first we got Zappa, Nippa and Ippa (that order in image)
They are from a book called Super Mario Bros. Monogatari from 1989 (all officiel info i have on those guys is from the mariowiki)
In the book they are bowser's children and part of the koopa troop (kinda just early/alternative versions of the koopalings) I kinda want them to not have any relation to bowser at all, just have them be some regular group of kids or something.
Zappa
He's the youngest of the three, the only thing the wiki said about him is that he's a nerd.
Yes, that is one of those bendy rulers on his arms and yes, I gave him a watch that he's wearing the nerd way and yes, he plays DnD. Despite them being in a more casual context I want him to keep the googles since I like how they look but idk why he's wearing them he just does ig.
Nippa
The middle child, I drew her with a different beak to fit in with her brothers better and drew her with different hair due to utterly failing at the more accurate hairstyle. She's pointed out to see herself as a lady but not to be the romantic type (happy aromantic noises) She is also said to long to be like the little prince riding a white horse... there is no white horse in the little prince wtf is this about? I'm just gonna say she likes that book and holds the morals close, and does horse riding. ig she can meet Larry there.
Ippa
Oldest brother, said to be sneaky and dishonest. he's based on a boxing-manga called: Haijme no ippo, I have not read up on what that is and I don't feel like it soooo I'm gonna ignore it for now. I'm also not drawing the whole gear but he gets to keep the pants and shoes on. He's said to take pride in bulling the weak, that sucks for Zappa.
Those wired guys from fun with numbers
the only reason they exist is because there weren't enought koopalings to teach numbers, theire whole "canon" existence is confined to a game in the same series an Mario is missing and they have nothing, not even names. the wiki says that the blue one is a Ludwig cosplayer but if that is true than who is the red one? is he just colourblind? I'm gonna ignore the cosplaypart and make them twins that have noting to do with Ludwig. I also put stickers on thiere plastrons, I wanted to keep the numbers somehow.

Ilky Iyyy
Technically speaking, they are just supposed to be Iggy but the game (Fun with letters, again same series as MIM) has two different hairstyles for him and at one point has the text Icky Iggy portrayed as it is in the top right of the image, making it look like Il'ky Iyyy, So I'm calling her that. On the post I made someone called her Iggy's long lost twin sister or something so I'm making her a girl now. the lines on the arms are supposed to be hair ties, and the braces of course to give her that awkward school photo smile. And autism of course
Bibinba
that is the only image that exists. Again I'm making these characters without relation to Bowser, she's just of the same species. I don't have much on her yet, she kinda has ballet vibes, also she's a mother, of who you might ask
Koopa kid
I'm gonna need an actual name for this gremlin. Again I don't have much on him, the only thing I have is that I'll mke her trigender and when I figure out how she has the abillity to split into the RGB koopa kids, each of them gets a gender.

I kind of wanted to imply things without directly saying them, the whole design was sketched out but isn't visible on this pose.
The implication i kind of wanted to get across was that over time Koopa Kid kind of changed- teeth dulled out, might have become associated with Brighton with the split colors, shell swapped out with a Buzzy Beetle... one of the original ideas i had was that he would slowly become MC Ballyhoo since that game has unused data with Koopa Kid but i ended up going the direction that he becoming Motley Bossblob more, so maybe one of his colored copies became MC Ballyhoo instead, who knows
Either way you're sort of seeing him at a crossroads but also very much still stuck in "party mind" as Bowser originally created Koopa Kid for that purpose and realized later on that he won't engage with enemies unless in a party setting, so he's become sort of a jester-type villian
Lowkey I wanna be on the Mario side of Tumblr but specifically the side that fangirls over the more underrated/obscure characters like Toadette or the various ragtag characters from the early Mario Parties, like Koopa Kid, Ballyhoo, the Star Spirits, even Toadsworth… I just wanna be around people who don’t exclusively talk about Waluigi and Daisy lmao
If you like these characters then PLEASE I need it I wanna post some non-TADC stuff… should I start a seperate blog for this or nah? I have a bunch of Mario characters on my Tomodachi Life island and I wanna post about them so should it go here or somewhere else?
Anyways I guess I should use this as an resume of sorts to list my thoughts on each character I think is worth mentioning
Mario: he’s funny and silly and I miss Charles
Luigi: same thing I said about Mario but green
Peach: awesome, kind and powerful yet chronically misinterpreted
Daisy: I love her but her fans are pains in the ass
Rosalina: uhhh idk she cool ig I like her og va
Toad: MY BOYYYYY I LOVE HIM
Toadette: my favourite one for very deep and complicated reasons
Toadsworth: I miss him
Wario: he has the best memes he’s cool
Waluigi: I love him BUT his fans have terrible humour
Bowser: cool af
Bowser Jr: I still haven’t seen the movie but he’s pretty high on my list, I prefer Koopa Kid from Mario Party tho
Koopa Kid from Mario Party: I LOVE HIMMMMMM HE’S SCRUNGLY
Koopa Troopa: he has the vibes of an asexual college student who’s favourite show is The Office (positive)
Dry Bones: he’s adorable but most of my love for him comes from my headcanons about his relationship with Toadette
Yoshi: awesome, Woolly World is one of my favourite games ever
Birdo: she’s fun but my sister has INSANE beef with her for some reason
Ballyhoo: only putting him here because I mentioned him already but I love that he’s clearly the inspiration for Caine Digital Circus (besides AM IHNMAIMS ofc)

A little fact people often forget is Bowser has the ability to wield Magic and has done so on many separate occasions.
The prime and most well known example is in Super Mario Bros. when turns all the Toads into Bricks and Horsetail plants.
In Super Mario Bros. 4: Super Mario World he uses his magic to trap Yoshi and his friends in eggs.
"Mario and co. saved their friend who was trapped in an egg by Koopa's magic."
"Until once again the great Demon King Koopa appears, his magic is cast on the Island's dinosaurs."

He also used his magic to brainwash the Reznors.
In Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars Bowser gets several special moves that he can uses on his opponents. Poison Gas and Crusher are 2 of these spells.
In Super Mario 64 in Bowser's fights we will teleport around at times.
In the Yoshi Story a Baby Bowser cursed Yoshi's Island and turns it into a storybook.
In Super Mario Galaxy Bowser is spitting out meteorites and using dark matter.
In Super Mario 3D Land Bowser can literally run on air.
In the Mario Party games Bowser can either summon his minions to himself or teleport players to him. He is also able to use a wand to transform someone.
He can also use his magic to create castles and towers.
Since the Mini Koopas are clones of him, he probably can duplicate himself.
Also, not only can he become Dry Bowser but he can more easily use blue flames which characters like King Boo can use.
Finally I'd note that in games like Super Mario 64 it mentions Bowser is using the magic from the Power Stars to do what he is doing. And in games like Mario Party 9 and Super Mario Galaxy he has either a Grand Star or Mini Stars in his possession.
I think that Bowser has magic default but can get access to more potent magic if he has a star or a wand in his possession.
