Koopsta - Da Devil’s Playground
With my family in town these next few albums I review are going to be ones one of the members of my family love. In this case I put this record on for my dad and brother, who both love Memphis rap. This record is such a fucking amazing listen. The production in this is fucking mind blowing. The Memphis sound ended up influencing so much music that we listen to today from earl sweatshirt and Billy woods to Future and Megan Thee Stallion. You can absolutely see why. One listen to the terrifying chilled out beats of this record or any of the other classic M-Town records and you’ll see. They were in a league of their fucking own.
