And they don't even know it, how can they? But they're connected in this moment, Luffy bringing forth the memory of his future family using the song that means everything to Brook

Luffy conjured the memory of someone who is going to mean so much to him and hE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW IT

Brook of the past not knowing his memory is jumping across time to connect to his new family, and Brook of the present being unaware of what is manifesting for him right there as he drifts in the fog

Neither of them knowing that they are existing in the same space as each other right that second
