SO MUCH FUN AT K-SREET FESTIVAL BGC ♥
Since I love Korea (next to my beloved Philippines), I made sure that I can attend the K-Street Festival 2019 in Bonifacio High Streets in Taguig. The Festival run for 2 days, from May 31 to June 01. I went there together with my younger brother, who is also fond of Kpop and Korean cultrure on its last day, June 01.
At the starting point of the Festival, you will have to register and they will give you a card which contains the different booths you must visit within the day. We absolutely love every aspect of this festival. We can to experience Korean art, beauty products, their traditional games, tourism, K-pop music, dramas, and of course, food. If you compelete all the 7 booths, they will even give you a price.
So this is what the card looks like. Personnel in each booth will put their stamp if you completed a mission. Of course, we started off at the KFood booth which is located near the entrance.
I didn’t get to take a picture of every food we tried but we also had some korean chickens, teokbokki, fish cake, dried seaweeds, kimchi and we even bought 2 soju bottles because they are selling it for just 100php per bottle! You get a stamp if you took a photo of the food you ate and post it on instagram with their official hashtag, #KpopCulturePH.
Since we are here, of course I didn’t miss the Kdrama booth which is sponsored by a streaming platform, viu.
There were many life-size standees of different Korean actors I love.I didn’t get to take lots of photos with each and every standee due to the long queueing line, hehe! Viu is also offering some streaming promo subscription for fans. You get a stamp when you sign up for a viu account.
We next visited the K-art booth where they teach you some basic Korean phrases as well as how to spell your name in Korean. I didn’t get to take photo of the parchment paper where I wrote my name, hehehe! You get a stamp when you write your name correctly and when you introduced name.
Moving on, we also played some Korean traditional game like Tuho and Jaegi. It was fun but both are difficult at the same time. I didn’t score anything! I got my stamp because my brother played the game for me. Hehe!
We went to the Kpop booth next and it’s a heaven for all the Kpop music lovers! There are Kpop merch organized by some different Kpop fandoms. The mission here is to pick one among the bowl of questions about Kpop and you have to answer it correctly. Gues what? I picked an EXO-related question, so what do you expect? Of course I did it in just one try. I got a stamp and one Kpop sticker.
In the K-beauty booth, they are handling out sample items of some Korean beauty products. Who doesn’t want it, right? Korean skin care is one of the trends! Also, you have to post the sample photo on instagram again for you to get a stamp.
K-Tour booth has a long queueing line. That’s because it is consist of a photobooth with a Korean traditional palace and Nami Island trees as its backdrop. You get a 4-shots of picture and they will gave you a copy of it and stamp on your card.
But the most-liked booth is the K-Fun booth. The queueing line is incredibly long! That’s because you get to a Korean Traditional Dress (Hanbok) and take pictures of it however you want! You just have to be mindful about other people waiting for their turns. It has a palace as the backdrop. We waiting for almost an hour (I think) just to experience it.
This experience is extremely fun and I am looking forward to attend this event annually!
