Der Korinthenkacker = literally “raisin crapper/pooper”. Someone so taken up with life's trivial details that they spend all day nitpicking. You can spot them a mile away, it's that irritating pen pusher or filing fanatic whose favorite job is tidying up the stationery cupboard or finding that 1 penny they lost. They’re so obsessed with nitpicking and petty stuff that they like to spend all their time whining and searching out petty mistakes and flaws, also in the work of others. A hardass or micro-manager who looses sight of the big picture and wastes their time on minute detail. A similar concept as “kleinlich” - small-minded, and “spiessig” = square. There also is “Erbsenzähler” = pea counter from a previous post.
