idk if this is helpful to you (because it damn sure wasn't for me), but i attended a workshop for job seekers and the current stats of the job market rn is.
80% of jobs being filled are through networking and referrals. meaning you have to know someone at whatever company you're applying to in order to get at least an interview.
that means the success rate of cold applying is only 20% :|
like we know networking is important and whatnot, but the fact that's it's now the main way to get a job or be seen is hell.
so yeah, that sent me into a panic attack last night bc it's truly over unless you know the right people or willing to put in the hours to know the right ppl.
i guess bitches with social anxiety are just supposed to fucking die, huh?
