Geralt and Yen for kiss #22!

“I don’t forgive you,” Geralt grits through his teeth, his face so close to hers. He doesn’t even look angry anymore but she feels it when he bites her lip hard.

She doesn’t mind, knows she deserves it; the metallic taste of blood in her mouth, a reminder.

Yennefer pulls him closer, hands on his ass and she can feel him hardening through the leather. It makes her grin, before kissing him again, their teeth clicking against each other.

“Yennefer,” he says, a warning maybe, or his final wall crumbling before her. Her hand goes up to his hair, cradling the back of his head, fingers threading through his silver locks.

She had missed this, him. So much she couldn’t even put it into words. It was an ache gnawing at her from inside, every time he looking at her so distant and cold. She could still hear his words in her head, playing on repeat. You betrayed us.

But he was back between her legs, soft and warm and pliant. And still angry but she could live with that. There was a time when she never thought she’d get this back in her life, and even if it isn’t how she imagined this, she’ll take it. It’s better than nothing, than the long empty cold feeling of loneliness eating you raw.

He pushes her dress up around her hips and Yen secretly hopes he missed this as much as she did. She gasps when he slides inside a little too roughly. But it’s so good at the same time and she grips him tight through his shirt, nails digging in. Leaving prints, hopefully.

She wants to mark him as hers again, even if it’s just for one night. Make the red tracks on his back remember.

He fucks her hard and fast, nothing gentle about it and it’s not what she wanted, not even close. She closes her eyes and lets him.

“Yen, goddamn,” that pulls her out of her thoughts and she glances at Geralt.

He looks absolutely wrecked, his face filled with emotions, too many to name.

“I tried to hate you, I really did.”

He sounds so sad, voice breaking and she reaches up to gently holding his face. His eyes shine, tears ready to spill.

“But I simply can’t not love you.”

Okay, I've been going over your post about the KLK games story, and how it differs from the anime, and holy crap, if we get an ending where Senketsu survives, I'll go crazy, I wanna see him and Ryuko happy together in the end!

Ever since it was confirmed that the game is gonna differ from the anime, I’ve been desperately hoping for a Senketsu-lives ending. He never should have died!!! #LetSenketsuLive2k19!!!!

And, like, at the Studio Trigger live-drawing panel at Anime Expo last year, someone complained about Nui’s demise being disappointing right to the guests, and the response was basically, “Well, Nakashima would disagree with you, but also, we always try to improve, and we learn from our old works so that we can make better works.”

So, I mean. The game could be a sort of “do over” of the anime and “fix” aspects of the story that Nakashima isn’t so happy about in retrospect.

And oh my goodness, I hope so bad that Nakashima agrees that Senketsu’s death ain’t something to be happy about.

Buuut I’m not holding my breath ‘cause Nakashima doesn’t seem to like happy endings ^^;

Also, when the title for Ryuko’s story mode got revealed the other day, I felt it was… really kind of ominous?

Like, I acknowledge that it’s super probably not the best localization, but. “For the Day I Cannot Return”? That made me fear immediately that Ryuko was gonna die this time around, too!

But @kuribo4indahouse reminded me that titles in Kill la Kill come from classic Japanese pop hits! So, hungry for more info, I went and looked up the title.

And… Ryuko’s song honestly doesn’t sound that ominous. It’s pretty upbeat!

And maybe the lyrics really have nothing to do with Ryuko’s story in the game, but, hey. Maybe they do! Me being me, I attempted something that I’m not at all qualified to do and put together a rough, rough translation. My English lyrics are fairly literal, so they’re very much not pretty, but ideally, they should give a better sense of what’s being sung than a Google Translate job:

And… I feel much better about Ryuko’s story, looking at these lyrics. If they’re relevant at all, the vibe seems more, “Live for today and don’t overly dwell on the past” as opposed to, “I’m gonna die, so I’m telling my story before I do!” Which is far more promising for a happy end.

I’m also reminded a lot of “Sirius,” the first OP of Kill la Kill and the seeming theme song of the game. There’s just that same idea of searching for someone. As I wrote in that other post:

[T]he game could go for a Space Patrol Luluco-like ending where Senketsu “dies,” but Ryuko dedicates herself to finding him again. I mean, that’s kind of the sense I get from “Sirius,” the anime’s first opening, which has been used on the game’s start screen. Plus, at the panel at Anime Expo last year, the panelists played from an iTunes playlist titled “キルラキルゲーム” [“Kill la Kill Game”], and “Sirius” was right on the list.

And, c’mon. There is so much to this song that could be about Ryuko and Senketsu. These lines in particular just ooze promise:

The vow I hold tight in my upraised fistWill turn into lightAnd until the instant it reaches you one day, I won’t have any time to cry

Like. It’d be really neat to get an ending where Satsuki helps her sister find her friend? Especially if Satsuki and Senketsu get to have more bonding time in the game than they got in the anime?

So, tl;dr, I’m not gonna be surprised or anything if it doesn’t happen, but. Please, please, please can Senketsu live this time?

Fun Fact: I'm a huge Korrasami fan, but only watched the whole series of Korra after the final episode aired when I saw the news about the finale. After I watched the whole saw, I was hooked and I've loved LOK and Korrasami ever since

I run a whole blog full of analysis so I know I really like hearing author commentary, but I’m also a nerd so I don’t know how much that interests anyone else, lol. 

Glad to hear that other folks are interested in hearing me analyze and break apart my own work! I really do put a lot into them. And it kills me that I don’t know if anyone picks up on some of the stuff I put in there so I feel the need to blab about it myself!

Top 5 favorite albums?

omg... this is so damn hard. I love music and there's a ton of albums I love, but I'll do some that were really important to me at different times/points of my life. These albums got me through some times and now I got the feels haha.

Fever's End Part 1 and 2 by Tablo These albums are super special to me and was clearly important for this artist as well. The emotions and vibes of these albums are indescribable. I know it's technically two albums, but they can count as one.

Harbour by Harbour Yeah their first album was named after their band lol. Harbour is one of my favorite bands and I probably am paying for everything they do with all of my listens on spotify.

channel ORANGE by Frank Ocean Just... good shit man, lmao. Listened to this non-stop when I was in college.

Dookie by Green Day This was one of the first albums I ever had and I can't even tell you how many times I've listened to it, lmao. Almost did American Idiot, but I think Dookie left more of an impact on me.

Cartel by Cartel Guess I'm adding another album that is named after the band lmao. This album got me through high school and when I listen to these songs now it just brings me places haha. Chroma was another album by them that I get the feels from too.
